Wow just wow! Go unelectable candidates election 2012. So having a candidate that has no idea how to work with politicians is a good thing? Yay for not being able to get your ideas trough. Also having someone who is a founder of a pizza chain is nothing but saying hey I'm going to screw the middle class, but I'm still for smaller government so vote for me the rich guy who founded a pizza chain. At least Mitch Romany, and Mike Huckabee are freaking electable

We have to face reality which the Liberals have been unable to do since Obama cm on the scene he has them under some sort of spell, I don't understand it at all.

Obama has been a total failure, he seems to be an uneducated idiot, to me. He is the second person in the job that comes to it with less credentials than I have for the job an that is just sad for the Nation.

Obama has never been an executive Manager of anything, he has been one who uses threats and intimidation to force others to get his way and he lies to accomplish it.

Herman Cain has the experience and education in business that can be translated into the office that can make him the kind of person we need in the office of President we need to do what is required to get us back on track.

He also takes the claim that conservatives are racists and shoves it in the Liberals faces, and I love that.

    Fight fire with fire.

With Huckabee out it would clear the way for Palin to lock up the primary vote from that wing of the GOP electorate. Huckabee was her main competition for the born again - rural social issues voters who make up such an influential portion of the primary electorate. However, with 2 out of every 3 Americans saying they would NOT vote for her for President it might cause her NOT to run.

I hope it causes her to look hard and long at this and jump in the race and win that nomination. She could convince herself that once having won the nomination, anything is indeed possible.

The choice would be much more clear for many if the Republicans hadn't gotten in bed with the religious right in the 1980's. But it was necessary to be competitive. Remember the Dems controlled congress for some 30 odd years. As a result the modern Republican platform is likely to be at odds with a lot of folk on certain social issues. ..

The Republicans IN THE PAST at least were trying to do something besides sitting back and bellyaching about the other political party, but not anymore....

The Republican party of today is not the same one from even 30 years ago. You can't even compare both parties today to the parties of the past.

    Both suck ass

The bankers want their own dogs running the government they bought and paid for.
how do conservatives not like Daniels' Resume? He turned a deficit into a surplus. He reformed education into a voucher system. He passed one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the nation (passing the same planned parenthood ban on funding that the Republican House tried and failed to achieve). He pulled off the same collective-bargaining-rights coup that Walker spent a month suffering for in a single day.

what are conservatives going to complain about in his resume?

Last election the complaint was that Obama didn't have enough government experience. Palin was touted as having more government experience and more desirable.
    Guess what now.....lol.

You guys must have goal posts on wheels......

As for the business experience then one would think Trump would be all you were talking about. I don't recall and Cain Towers.

a little nuts, or definitely willing to weather the fire. Romney and Huckabee, I think, benefit mostly from name-recognition; an advantage that is sure to fade with time and attention on the race.

    Off topic: for Cpwill
I'm also glad to see you are doing well.
and you as well - thank you kindly.

If Palin gets in, Huckabee supporters will go to her. It is her natural constituency.

Palin is between a rock and a hard place at this point in time. She is just about six months from becoming completely and totally irrelevant on any level. She must do something and do something big to keep the gravy train rolling and extend her 15 minutes of fame. The easy way to do that is to run for president. But then she has to also have an eye on the polls which say that 2/3 of the public pretty much loathes her and would not vote for her.

Huckabee smartly realized he could not raise them money or win the election. He would have been made to look like an INHERIT THE WIND caricature in the general election and he knew it.
