    He doesn't seem to be too bright. Imagine him even thinking this:

    "You want to know why they go after those two ladies more viciously? Because they know that Michele Bachmann or Sarah Palin is going to draw a lot of the women vote away from the Democrat party. They are scared to death of that if they were to run and get the nomination. They are doubly scared that a real black man might run against Barack Obama.”
    Herman Cain Media Scared | Real Black Man | Obama Not Black | Mediaite

    Most Democratic women are smart enough to recognize that neither Palin nor Bachmann are smart enough to even be considered as President of the United States.

    Just because many Democratic women wanted Hillary Clinton to win, doesn't mean they want some dumb bimbo to win, just because they are women. That may be true in the Republican party, but Cain is sadly mistaken about the left.

    Hard to see how he wouldn't be, honestly, given the cult of personality that sprang up around him. You can only be surrounded by that stuff for so long before you begin to internalize it.

    I mean, rolling down that list of indicators I can think of specific instances to match many of them.
    Ha,ha, Conservatives calling Obama Narcissist, must be due to short memories.

    Narcissism = The personality trait of egotism, vanity, conceit, and selfishness.

    Egotism = "Mission Accomplished"

    Vanity = "This is an impressive crowd, the haves and the have-mores. Some people call you the elite. I call you my base."

    Conceit = "I'm the Decider"

    Selfishness = “You know, when I campaigned here in 2000, I said, I want to be a war President. No President wants to be a war President, but I am one.”

    that and wanting to give the folks on the carrier something to celebrate. coming back, i can tell you, it's very good to have felt that you "did something". makes up for alot of the losses.

    interesting. what is the personality trait for quoting someone who is making fun of themselves as though they weren't? dishonesty? or ignorance?

    Conceit = "I'm the Decider"
    actually that's the billet description - Obama has noted pretty much the same thing. Decisions don't get to the President unless they are the big tough ones.

    Selfishness = “You know, when I campaigned here in 2000, I said, I want to be a war President. No President wants to be a war President, but I am one.”
    dude. that's a bushism. It's not selfishness, it's inarticulateness.

    Sadly, many a Georgia Baptist told me that I am not a Christian because I am Catholic...

    well I would suggest you come back home, because in my two decades and change there, i never witnessed such a thing. you find plenty of folks who would say that mormonism isn't a branch of christianity... but catholicism? nah.

    Georgia is not my home -- and this was about a decade ago -- New Hampshire is where I grew up. I went to Georgia for grad school and felt a lot of bigotry from the Baptists there. I muct prefer the tolerant atmopshere in New Hampshire over what I experienced for six years in Georgia...

    Would this count as playing the race card?
    The Makeout Hobo is real, and does indeed travel around the country in his van and make out with ladies... If you meet the Makeout Hobo, it is customary to greet him with a shot of whiskey and a high five (if you are a dude) or passionate makeouts (if you are a lady).

    Even if you do the wrong thing?

    Don't really understand your comparison - I think Bush was both, dishonest and ignorant.

    actually that's the billet description - Obama has noted pretty much the same thing. Decisions don't get to the President unless they are the big tough ones.
    Ha,ha, Obama has never come out and said something as arrogant as this.

    Spin any way you want, it just showed that not only was he ignorant, he was selfish as well.

    It could very well be, he figured that since Obama got elected, this would be one of the ways that Republicans could show they are not racist (by voting for him) - he may be banking on their skewed logic.
