Why did we go into Afghanistan?
Initially to get OBL and obliterate ALQ, and push out the Taliban who had protected him.
    What was the mission?
There was mission creep. It went to trying to creat a stable afghan govt (but with focus in Iraq we couldn't move it much.)
Should we still be there? Why?
Not at full strength for much longer. Chances are the Taliban will overthrow the Karzai govt when we leave. So be it. We'll just tell them: "Work with ALQ and we'll bomb you." Eventually they'll get the message.

Let me see if I follow this: they're mad because the United States killed UBL, so their response is to kill their own people?

    WOW!! They really showed us!

The blood of 80 people is now directly on the hands of our president. Do these idiots even realize that it doesn't exactly further their cause that if one of their own is killed for killing innocent people, that killing more innocent people won't sway people to their side?

Oh well, looks like the war on terror ain't over yet, is it?
    I don't like Obama's policies

I don't think he was qualified to be president

I think he appealed to black racism and white guilt as well as socialists

but to blame him for this is so idiotic It makes me want to hurl

Obama did the right thing by having that scum bag killed

the only argument was that Osama should have been slowly broken on a wheel or subjected to "the pear"

but that was not an option so getting a sealobotomy was fine with me

and all i can say IS GOOD JOB PRESIDENT OBAMA!!!

which is exactly what W said to Obama

Islam has made it impossible for us to deal with it in a civilized manner.

The problems the US would have faced by capturing and prosecuting UBL rather than taking him out would have been exponentially increased. It is ironic though that Obama wants to give terrorists their day in court but then ensures the UBL "sleeps with the fishes."

I think this thread is a pretty good example for Obama Derangement Syndrome.
He touched her over her bra and underpants, she says, and guided her hand to touch him over his underwear

You know, this is exactly what Bush was like when he was governor of Texas, and before his first term in office. I liked him a lot. I could see him returning to this during the latter part of his second term, and when he began kicking the Neocons to the curb I began liking him again. THAT was the real George Bush, and I am glad that he finally started being his own man again. The ideologue Bush was one of the worst presidents ever, but the pragmatic Bush was one of the better ones.
