you might be ok with comments like that, but i most definitely am not. the Jewish holocaust didn't begin with the gas chambers, it began with discrimination and bigotry. these things need to be guarded against.

how the hell is his comment acceptable to ANY reasonable person?
You seem to think you're a reasonable person.

By our solidarity with those who want to bring about a second Holocaust?

    I think not.

    Mornin' Serenity....How ya been?

I don't think that most of today's liberals are in solidarity with bin Laden, however, they do seem to make arguments that grant much more deference to our enemies like AQ, and OBL than would be seen should the shoe be on the other foot. And in most cases seem to do this out of fear of reprisal. That is no way to win.

Look, I would like nothing more than to not be entangled in this ME mess, but cowaring, and serving up our ally Israel on a silver platter is not the way to achieve that when they persue a caliphate.

i don't care one bit for Bin Laden and his son. how does me talking about a bigoted comment regarding towelheads have anything to do with serving Israel up on a silver platter? who is doing that?

I think his father's whole existence demeaned his family.

Ok, I think you misunderstand. I am not saying that it is inappropriate for you to discuss the post, nor is it wrong to speak on what you think is bigotry, whether it is or not. Rather what I was speaking to, and I should have worded it better, was a larger picture that I hope you also recognized concerning some liberals that not only think that Obama may have violated law by taking OBL out, but bend over backwards to defend some made out of whole cloth restriction that somehow terrorist, are political parties, deserve US constitutional rights, or that they only do what they do because of what we have done first. And don't want to make any move that could "offend" them into another attack, totally misunderstanding what a caliphate even is.

that's odd; you would have thought that having a patriarch who slaughtered innocent women and children would have demeaned the family enough already.

Let’s see if this helps. One definition of irony is “the use of words to express something other than and especially the opposite of the literal meaning.” Many Muslims hate Jews. Just check with any Palestinian if you need a reference. Omar, a Muslim, is wearing a shirt bearing the name of a Jewish clothing designer. Therefore, since a Muslim is wearing an advertisement of an adversary, one thing is implied (financially supporting a Jewish clothing designer by wearing his apparel) and the opposite is true, i.e. he most likely dislikes or hates him.
