GOP Disputes Obama's Claim That Border Security Has Improved

Obama's Border moves have worked. The illegals have moved where they cross that's all.

Phoenix AZ. is still the kidnapping Capital of the world outside of Mexico, and it Mexica Drug Lords driving it.

If you watch the National Geo. channel has been showing the problems that the Border Patrol Agents run into almost daily.

Can you say never enforce by Obummer or Noploworthless.

GOP Disputes Obama's Claim That Border Security Has Improved - FoxNews.com
Republicans immediately fired back against President Obama after he claimed Tuesday that the U.S. border with Mexico has improved since he took office.

Obama made the comment during his first trip to the U.S.-Mexico border as commander-in-chief, where he called on Congress to pass sweeping legislation that would remake the nation's immigration system.

Re: GOP Disputes Obama's Claim That Border Security Has Improved

obama in el paso yesterday said the border fence was "near completion"

On his first trip to the U.S.-Mexico border since becoming president, Obama boasted of increasing border patrol agents, nearing completion of a border fence, and screening more cargo.
unfortunately, the facts, according to gao, are far from that

"the federal government can actually prevent or stop illegal entries into the us along only 129 of the 1954 mile long us-mexico border," says gao, march 31

"the border patrol itself says it has established 'an acceptable level of control' along only 873 miles"

what's barack the slasher talking about?

clueless, he characteristically went on to MOCK americans who disagree with him, the millions among you who are manifestly concerned about the 1825 miles of open border:

"Maybe they'll need a moat," he said mockingly to laughter from the crowd. "Maybe they'll want alligators in the moat."
maybe you should just sic holder on texas, president funnyman

    slasher the standup continued:

"The question is whether those in Congress who previously walked away in the name of enforcement are now ready to come back to the table and finish the work we've started," he said.
    the work we've started?

    LOL!

and just what have you begun, barry?

the dream act which died in your own lame duck?

the lawsuit vs the people of arizona who are simply trying to do your job for you?

barack the slasher hussein has done SQUAT for immigration reform beyond making a few of his great speeches, excellent speeches

will oratory satiate the grijalva's and gonzales's and their hispanic constituency?

cuz great and excellent speeches are all they're gonna get

Kidnapping capital of the world? There are 500 kidnappings (that doesn't include "express kidnappings") in Colombia alone every single year. Most of them in the Medellin-Bogota areas. So how the hell can Phoenix be kidnapping capital of the world when Johannesburg, Rio and New Delhi, etc all have rates that make the kidnappings in Arizona look like kids playing hide and go seek for a few hours?

Re: GOP Disputes Obama's Claim That Border Security Has Improved

whether it's a capital or not, phoenix sure seems to have a lot of kidnappings

[Sgt. Tommy Thompson, a public information officer at the Phoenix Police Department] said Phoenix has been dealing with the issue for several years now, and the number of reported kidnappings have actually decreased since this story broke in 2009. There were 358 reported kidnappings in 2008 (10 fewer than reported by the LA Times, due to later reclassification of the crimes), 318 in 2009 and there were 105 from January through May 2010, he said, putting the city on track to sustain less than 300 this year.

Of course, they are only saying this cause Obama is black.
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.

That would be an entire country, not a city.

Kidnapping Capital of the U.S.A. - ABC News
In what officials caution is now a dangerous and even deadly crime wave, Phoenix, Arizona has become the kidnapping capital of America, with more incidents than any other city in the world outside of Mexico City and over 370 cases last year alone.
If you have information showing there are more kidnappings in any other city in the world than the 370 in Phoenix (2008), then present it and prove the OP wrong. if not, admit he is right.

No, they're only saying this because he's a Democrat.

(I love how Liberals are always the first ones to mention race).

Give it a break with the "kidnap capital" thing, Councilman. It's just plain not true.

    http://www.politifact.com/texas/stat...-capital-worl/
Nobody who wins a war indulges in a bifurcated definition of victory. War is a political act; victory and defeat have meaning only in political terms. A country incapable of achieving its political objectives at an acceptable cost is losing the war, regardless of battlefield events.

Bifurcating victory (e.g. winning militarily, losing politically) is a useful salve for defeated armies. The "stab in the back" narrative helped take the sting out of failure for German generals after WWI and their American counterparts after Vietnam.

All the same, it's nonsense. To paraphrase Vince Lombardi, show me a political loser, and I'll show you a loser.

With all due respect... you're taking one guys statement as accurate, without asking for the numbers behind his statement. he 'says' X, Y & Z... but your link offers no hard numbers or sources to back up X, Y & Z.

Technically, we are both doing that... so neither my post nor yours should be taken as Gospel, unless we can present actual numbers from reliable official sources.
