Kinda a sign of desperation. "I can't make a legitimate point, so I will lie, even though it will be obvious."

Except you are cherry picking. You pick the one poll that graph that shows good news (job creation) and act like that's the entire story, while ignoring the other two graphs showing bad news with rising unemployment and a lowering percentage of people in the workforce.

Sir, I gotta ask. If a conservative had shown the two and left the one out - would you call him on the cherry picking?

no. I would point out that the "rising employment numbers" weren't even enough to cover the growth in our population during that time period, but that they have rather been "seasonally adjusted" to give a better impression than reality - and then i would advise him that he would be better off if he found a stronger argument before he took it somewhere it could get picked apart.

if i was talking to Catawaba, however, I would point out that this "recovery" sucks. the Bush/Obama keyensian stimulus plans utterly failed us, despite the absolute gobs of money we spent, we got bupkis.

what would have happened if Bush and Obama hadn't taken us down this road?

Had the U.S. economy recovered from the current recession the way it bounced back from the other 10 recessions since World War II, our per-capita gross domestic product (GDP) would be $3,553 higher than it is today, and 11.9 million more Americans would be employed.

    oh.

let's face it: the last two administrations have sucked when it came to the economy.

on the contrary, i cannot encourage her enough.

Do not listen to the Doubters, Kali, they were wrong when they told us it had to be Hilary in 2008 and they are wrong now. Obama is leading us in the right direction and Americans are proud of that fact.

Why, I bet he's going to win so much that it's not even worth the effort of going all the way to the voting booth and waiting in line for all that time.

I highly encourage you instead to kickstart the victory party early, and make sure to invite ALL your friends

and their Congresses, regardless of which party was in power. Now, if that sentence could only be written where every voter could see it just before going to the polls, perhaps the next will suck less.

We could just give the info to these guys, I am sure they would convey the message....
