The haggardness of poverty is everywhere seen contrasted with the sleekness of wealth, the exhorted labor of some compensating for the idleness of others, wretched hovels by the side of stately colonnades, the rags of indigence blended with the ensigns of opulence; in a word, the most useless profusion in the midst of the most urgent wants.Jean-Baptiste Say

I'm done. Things would be better if I held people at gun point when the depression happened and we bartered with booze and cattle instead of paper like in the old days.

In theory, some of those loopholes were understandable, but in practice they sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying ten percent of his salary, and that’s crazy." -Reagan

Nobody ever made the claim that unemployment would level off immediately. The economy is way too big to turn on a dime like that.
In other words, it's Bush's fault.

Now, it's 100% true. Does that really change anything ??????????

I hope you notice that chart you posted shows that the unemployment rate was already up to 8% when Obama's stimulus package went into effect. Given that, I'm not sure I can say I understand how it was expected to keep unemployment under 8%.

Obama signed the $787 billion stimulus bill in February, and his chief economic advisers had forecast it would help hold unemployment below 8 percent.

Good because the unemployment never went under 8% with the Obama stimulus and today we have 2.6 million fewer people employed and 15 million people unemployed both worse than when Obama took office and spent over a trillion dollars.

Even you admitted that Obama hit the "key goal" of his stimulus plan which was to create or save at least 3 million jobs by the end of 2010.

Here we go again, I gave you CBO numbers, not mine and the fact is 15 million Americans are out of work vs. 12+ million when he took office. There are 2.6 million fewer people employed. Wonder if those people believe Obama's economic plan has been successful?

That was the number you accepted. You, not the CBO, then translated their numbers to equaling $228,000 per job. That was your number, not the CBO's, as it appeared nowhere in their report. That number per job was your number and that number can only be if there were 3.5 million jobs saved/created. Now you're trying to say you don't believe that number only since I pointed out to you what you didn't realize when you first posted it ... if that number is accurate, Obama hit the key goal of his stimulus plan.

Well you said his plan was successful. You don't think they believe you?
