Digital photos aren't proof of anything. Anybody who thinks we're lying about killing him would be entirely justified in thinking that any photos we could provide are faked - it's just too easy to do.A picture and a piked head are not the same. The photo can be verfied with facial-recognition technology, etc. Blood would have helped.
I don't think it really matters one way or another. I guess if people want to see whynot? There are hundreds of mutilated Iraqi/american/everything soldiers all over the internet, i dont really see the difference, except this guy probably deserved it more then any of the others.
The important thing is UBL is dead. In this age of Photoshop, I don't think a picture serves any purpose.
