If it were a lie, Osama could merely make another video.
SpyTalk - CIA unit's wacky idea: Depict Saddam as gay
So, we've already had fake bin laden videos in the past. The agency (CIA) actually did make a video purporting to show Osama bin Laden and his cronies sitting around a campfire swigging bottles of liquor and savoring their conquests with boys, one of the former CIA officers recalled, chuckling at the memory. The actors were drawn from “some of us darker-skinned employees,” he said.
It came out of the SITE group, that's been caught releasing fake videos in the past as well (reportedly where the intelcenter logo was in the same video layer as the alquaida logo), is connected to Blackwater, and has repeatedly released tapes at politically useful times...
Finally, did they confirm his death or did they confirm his death as the US has been trying to explain with shifting stories and busted in lies.
There was no "scandal" with this talking about how he's been dead for years, it was just all under-reported and nobody really noticed. This will be the final time that bin laden will be pronounced dead, but so much of the story is just wrong.
I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't those in the military have to fill out some sort of after-action report detailing what happened?? So, how could it go from a "big shootout" to "one guy with a gun across the street"... and so on with all these lies...
This was a crafted story from the start.
Biggest mistake that in a situation like this they throw the body in the ocean.
The AP position revolves around "transparency." From the link:
Showing a mutilated corps is being "transparent", how again? Is it supposed to be proof of .. of what? That Bin Laden is really dead? That he really was shot? Is there some question as to the facts of the matter that could be proven by showing a picture of the dead body?Last Monday, the AP filed a Freedom of Information Act request for the photographic and video evidence taken during the raid on bin Laden's compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. The organization's FOIA request included a reminder of the president's campaign pledge and a plea to be more transparent than his predecessor. "The Obama White House 'pledged to be the most transparent government in U.S. history," wrote the AP, "and to comply much more closely with the Freedom of Information Act than the Bush
There simply is no compelling reason to release the photo. Doing so would prove exactly nothing.
Can't we just turn Congress off and then turn it back on again?
Of course it would be better for him and his supporters if everyone just forgot about this and moved on but the system doesn't work that way, nor should it. Maybe he'll eventually cave as he did with his birth certificate. Who really knows what this guy will do next?
If, the President had just been up front about this from the beginning, I don't think it would have been a issue.
What we simple have here is... NO body, NO crime scene photography....NADA
How are we suppose to stand by the President if he is not being honest?
