Bin Laden was unarmed when shot

What about

OBL is gone, so our interest in staying has gone way down in A-stan. This could be just the excuse we need to get out and stop spending lives and money.

Don't bet on it.

Step 1: Get the IntraWeb
Step 2: Call Time Warner Cable and get my mansion hooked up
Step 3: Call al Qaeda and have the suicide bomb hooked up.

Looks like he never made it to step 3.

:2wave:
Uh, what mansion were you looking at? Dude never got to step 2.

According to Al-Jazeera, Osama bin Laden, the infamous terrorist behind the deaths of innumerable people, including the September 11 terrorist attacks which alone consumed 3000 civilian lives, was unarmed when he was shot.

So? While the Mayor would be fully supportive of loading up some tranquilizer darts and hauling his unconscious carcass off in an underslung cargo net....bugs in the teeth are not halal....one has to assume the mission parameters did not allow the risk to the team of trying to haul and unconscious six-foot seven man through the house, and perhaps, being forced to abandon him, alive, to evacuate the scene in the event of a successful counter-attack.

Also, ....so what? He was a wanted criminal, wanted dead or alive. So he's dead, not alive. That, ulimately, was a good and worthy outcome.

So what? Are you suggesting he shouldn't have been shot? He got what was coming to him.

There's the class of people best exemplied as the role played by Ronnie Cox in the movie "Deliverance". His character was all freaked out that Burt Reyonlds had shot a rapist with an arrow. "ITS A MATTER FOR THE LAW!" he shouts over and over.

He ignored the fact that justice had been done.

In "The Unforgiven" ....Clint Eastwood's character gave some advice regarding killin'. He said that killing a man took away all of his hopes, dreams and future and it couldn't be taken back. Most people have a strong aversion to taking that final an action.

Most American's aren't all that interested in whatever Osama's hopes and dreams were, they believed they knew what they were...and it's been the hope of most Americans that their dream of ending Osama's future would come true.

I still can't believe that he is been killed like this unarmed in a mansion.

He could never suffer enough to satisfy the demands of justice.

The demands of justice are not satisfied by suffering or death. The demands of vengeance and jealosy are satisfied by suffering and death.

Harsh. It's Pakistan.

I don't care if he was armed or not.

I don't care if he was on his knees begging for his life.

Drill him right through the forehead with a "Made in the USA" bullet.

Bin Laden 'was unarmed' when shot dead - Americas - Al Jazeera English[/url]

More as four thousand people killed by this devil were also 'unarmed'.

When they saw he was unarmed, they should've slowly strangled him, or beheaded him, or burned him alive. They also could've thrown him off a chopper from high altitude. The dog should've been ordered to chew on his face for a while, and his crotch, too. Just say'n...............................

lol....This is some scary stuff

You don't screw around with someone as dangerous as Osama bin Hidin'. Imagine how ironic it would be if, in wasting time trying to give him a creatively painful death, he escaped.

The SEALS did right: headshot, dead, it's over.

If Osama needs further sorting out, his Maker will take care of that.

Exactly right. Disciplined and professional. No chest thumping nor photo ops. Just in and out in a eye blink.
And probably none of us will ever learn a single member's name.

true, anyone who watched the old BATMAN series understands the stupidity of devising clever deaths for your nemesis
