It has happened before, but there is nothing to compare it to now.

hmm... the walmart near me never removed the guns either. And I came very close to picking up a ruger ranch rifle from them a while back too.

For some reason, however, they don't have the ranch rifle anymore. Are you really in Arkansas? 'Cause I was gonna get that.

Why butter though? Why not put the rifles next to Hungry man and other easy to cook meals.
I use a lot of satire and sarcasm so keep that in mind when reading my posts.

Who would want to buy a rifle made in China?

My Wal Mart gave up sewing and fabric supplies. You have to buy fabric precut and their patterns suck...

Perhaps they are just mocking the guns vs butter model

Nobody who wins a war indulges in a bifurcated definition of victory. War is a political act; victory and defeat have meaning only in political terms. A country incapable of achieving its political objectives at an acceptable cost is losing the war, regardless of battlefield events.

Bifurcating victory (e.g. winning militarily, losing politically) is a useful salve for defeated armies. The "stab in the back" narrative helped take the sting out of failure for German generals after WWI and their American counterparts after Vietnam.

All the same, it's nonsense. To paraphrase Vince Lombardi, show me a political loser, and I'll show you a loser.
