EAST HAVEN, Conn. (AP) —
A high-ranking Rhode Island lawmaker who criticized the General Assembly by invoking the image of pot-smoking immigrants is facing drug charges in Connecticut.

Police in East Haven, Conn., say East Greenwich Republican
Robert Watson, the House Minority Leader, was stopped at a police checkpoint Friday and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence.

What is it with Republicans? They claim that being gay is sinful, then get caught in gay moments themselves. Now, it appears that it is the same with drugs. The way I see it, if someone chooses to smoke weed, be gay, or jump up and down in his own home, while flapping his arms like a chicken, it's really none of the government's business. When you start to legislate and badmouth the things you do yourself, it does NOT look good when you are caught. LOL.

And why don't some lawmakers just come out and admit that, once in a while, they like to smoke a joint, or even enjoy scarfing down an occasional heaping helping of penis? By being hypocrites, they are only hurting the image of their own party, by making it look like a collection of hypocritical buttheads. Hell, for all their faults, at least the Democrats don't deny who they are, which is human. But at least there is no gay Republican scandal this time.**

Article is here.

** That remains to be seen. LOL.

And if there is, you can count on me to post it.

Of course, never look to you to post anything about the Dems... but then we've all known that's where your votes and money go.

Tsk tsk. Another personal attack from you, but that is what I have come to expect from you. I don't have to post this stuff about Dems because they are known for sex scandals. What they don't do is attempt to tell others to do what they say and not what they do. As for where my money goes, I don't really give a rat's ass what you think any more, so you can look somewhere else for someone to get a rise out of, Mr. Troll. You are now added to my ignore list, which is where all the trolls go.

Yes they do, they just do it in other ways. Al Gore preaching about Carbon Footprints and living within the Green Way as it were, yet he himself has a huge mansion, flies all over the world...

Barack Obama lectures us that we need to change the discourse in America, to be more civilized, yet we learn such gems as this today:
One has to dig into the blog notes from various reporters to piece together the content from the sermon. Aside from the First Couple being honored guests, Pastor Wallace Charles Smith also announces that his 4 week old grandson is attending church for the first time, and a pool reporter noted an interesting perspective on the infant:

"[Pastor Smith] talked about how his baby grandson's gurgling is actually "talking" because he is saying 'I am here ... they tried to write me off as 3/5 a person in the Constitution, but I am here right now ... and is saying I am not going to let anybody from stopping me from being what God wants me to be.'"

The pastor hears American institutional racism in a baby's gurgle? Do most people with infants hear Constitutional bigotry in their baby's gibberish? Did any mention of the 3/5 clause or racism in general make it into the Easter service you attended? Is this pastor's amazing leap from a baby bark to white oppression another coincidence to add to the list, or has he established a pattern of race baiting and white bashing in the past?

Your targets of hypocritical commentary are amusingly one sided. Put me on ignore, I don't care. I merely point out your silliness and you can't handle it. Perhaps you should just be more honest about what your doing and this wouldn't be an issue?

I mean, it's better than talking about the thread topic, right MrV?

Personally, I just operate under the assumption that every politician snorts cocaine and the ones I haven't heard about just haven't been caught ;)
