EAST HAVEN, Conn. (AP) —
A high-ranking Rhode Island lawmaker who criticized the General Assembly by invoking the image of pot-smoking immigrants is facing drug charges in Connecticut.
Police in East Haven, Conn., say East Greenwich Republican
Robert Watson, the House Minority Leader, was stopped at a police checkpoint Friday and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence.
What is it with Republicans? They claim that being gay is sinful, then get caught in gay moments themselves. Now, it appears that it is the same with drugs. The way I see it, if someone chooses to smoke weed, be gay, or jump up and down in his own home, while flapping his arms like a chicken, it's really none of the government's business. When you start to legislate and badmouth the things you do yourself, it does NOT look good when you are caught. LOL.
And why don't some lawmakers just come out and admit that, once in a while, they like to smoke a joint, or even enjoy scarfing down an occasional heaping helping of penis? By being hypocrites, they are only hurting the image of their own party, by making it look like a collection of hypocritical buttheads. Hell, for all their faults, at least the Democrats don't deny who they are, which is human. But at least there is no gay Republican scandal this time.**
Article is here.
** That remains to be seen. LOL.
