Jefferson County GOP House member switching to Democrats

State Rep. Wade Hurt, a Jefferson County Republican who won last year after his Democratic opponent was declared ineligible to run, said Friday that he is switching parties.
Now before you Democrats start crowing about this switch, and start spinning it to mean that Republicans are jumping ship, consider this: This district in Kentucky is in Louisville, and is strongly Liberal. Last year, the Democrat was in position to win the district. All he needed was two signatures on his nominating petition. Easy, right? Nope, he managed to screw one of them up, and was disqualified. The result was that a Republican ran unopposed for the district, and of course, he won. However, the Republican does want to keep his job. How does a Republican hope to keep his job in a district that is 62% Democrat? He switches parties.

Which goes to show you - Democrat or Republican, they are ALL whores.

    Article is here.

Another one turns to the dark side. *comic book villain laugh*

Crap, wasn't supposed to say that out loud was I?

In that district I expect "used to be a Republican" would make the primaries difficult for him unless he manages to demonstrate a distinctively liberal voting record before then.

He touched her over her bra and underpants, she says, and guided her hand to touch him over his underwear

Problem here is that I see a Democrat doing the exact same thing, if the roles were reversed.
