I think hate crime laws are BS anyway.

If a white man beats up a black man for sleeping with his wife, the right attorney could get him for a hate crime. Not right in my opinion.

Two people beating the crap out of each other I'd just call the cops. What went on there is something I would've gotten involved in too. Imagine not trying to help and the person really was beaten to death. I wouldn't be able to look myself in the mirror.

Really? Is this where you're trying to take this thread? Insinuating someone who is transgendered is deformed or suffering from an adverse mental condition?

for protecting a victim? they could have taken the victim to the office until the cops got there. that isn't laying a hand on a pair of crazies, it is protecting someone from crazies.

The biggest problem is that nobody did anything. Yes, I'm going to try my hardest to stop the fight and yes, if I'm swung at, I'm defending myself. I've never hit a woman before, but really, once you start trying to cause me bodily harm, you don't have a sex anymore; you are just something that is trying to cause me harm, I'd consider them an animal, because, afterall, they are using their animalistic natures.

While it is not right if they are? There is nothing wrong with people that suffer from mental illness and the majority of folks on this board do not exactly act as if they give a crap about those that do have any such conditions considering the way they love to toss around that hateful R Word. I am just saying:(

BTW, I have to edit to say if you use hateful terms to crack jokes? If you think word hate is ok? You are no better than this. While it may not be as extreme to hate someone and beat them up? If you use words to hate? YOU are part of the damn problem. PERIOD!!!!!!!!!! Point BLANK!!

What clearly needs to be done is that a whole bunch of trial lawyers need to be taken to McDonald's for lunch and a quick beating.

Some congressmen and judges, too.

When the laws are changed to extend the doctor's "good samaritan" status to people attempting to invervene in situations clearly demanding action from people on the spot, and that protection is expanded to shield their employers from lawsuit from the parasites that have ruined this country, it could be time to stop taking lawyers out for Big Mac's.

It it had died, the two killers should both have been executed. A fourteen year old is old enough to know better.

As it didn't die, the two attackers both should serve whatever sentence is applicable to adults. Again, a fourteen year old is old enough to know not to hit others, especially the rules about kicking with the victim is down.
