This happens to every single deficit forecast and I'm not sure why it continues to surprise people.

(P.S. This applies to GOP deficit plans too)

    • However, when using CBO numbers to construct an adjusted baseline, we find
savings would be $2.5 trillion over 10 years.

It looks like the 1.5T difference is really .4T difference. The rest is results in different times periods used in the analysis. Basically, the article in the OP didn't account for that fact, which is why they are showing such a large difference in projected savings.

Basically, Fox jumped the gun and didn't analyze correctly.

Where is the outrage? President Bush would be hung and burned in effigy, and called every name in the book.

Obama gets a pass because he's incapable being wrong telling lies and damn sure would never monkey with the facts.
don't use the word monkey... some people will start in with the 'that's racist' nonsense

In the way that said slogan was originally used....yes he did.

In reality based on what lie actually means, no he didn't lie. I don't doubt for a moment based on the information they were given, and the information they chose to use, what he said looked absolutely correct to him.

Obama's plan however looks similar to the way most Redskin's free agent contracts look. Extremely backloaded so that the person can claim a HUGE amount when in reality everyone and their brother knows those last few years are never going to actually happen.
