He is. Common sense isn’t his gig. He is into being as pompous and offensive as possible to as many people as possible without sticking around to back up his claims.

Sorry. C-man's rules. You get to label everyone you want with any action taken by anybody. This is gonna be great!

LOL! I had not seen this, it is priceless!!!

But that isn't what the OP was suggesting. It was more like an 'odometer' tax, if I understood.
You can never be safe from a government that can keep you completely safe from each other and the world. You must choose.

As a liberal, I like gas taxes. I think they should raise gas taxes to encourage a reduction in the use of oil, primarily for the purpose of energy security. They can lower taxes someplace else if they want... To make the conservatives happy. Meh! Who cares about the conservatives, raise gas taxes and give the extra revenue to energy industries that help our security. Bigger bang for the buck. I'm tired of always seeking ways to compromise.
I have no problems with it, if every cent of road tax and all other taxes are removed from the price of gas at the pump. Double taxation isn't something any libertarian I know would support.

Just giving c-man a taste of his own medicine.

Of course, he probably watches that video and sees a perfectly reasonable person asking reasonable questions.

If it were the only tax then sure. But it's not. We collect regular taxes, we pay license fees, we pay gas tax, etc. We already pay taxes for this very thing. So they can take this new tax idea, shine it up real nice, turn that son of a bitch side ways, and shove it straight up their candy ass.

If you read the article, it mentions giving drivers smartphones with GPS tracking for testing. That strongly suggests that the actual tax will implemented in the same fashion.
