Yea your right. Sorry maybe the people on the rig that died in the explosion could of been saved, and maybe how people made their living by fishing and what not could of still fished and tried to provide for their family.. I guess "profits" trump that all.

It is a tragedy that they died, but guess what, unfortunately theres a thing called risk, and sometimes **** happens. The riskier the job generally the higher the pay, and nobody forced them take the job now did they, pick your poison.

And profit? Yea the only profit trumping being done here is OPEC profiting excessively off the US, since we become more and more dependent on them as we decrease our off shore drilling.

Yea a risk that could of been prevented if the companies just spent a few couple bucks on safety devices (that probably will not be a big deal to pay), and these lives could of been saved. Soo profit>human life?

What that shows is that this was already a result of skirting the laws. We don't need to pass laws to make it illegal, it already was.

Profit Maximization my friend, whatever is in the best interest of the company. Put yourself in the companies shoes, I'm sure you would just be the picture perfect owner, maximize safety, equal pay for everyone, etc, etc. What a perfect world some people imagine they live in.

Ridiculous. Remember when we had child labor? Wasnt that all about about maximizing profit. Workers safety is a right!
So you pretty much said that profits do trump a human life... Thanks..

View tha world from American eyes
Tha poor adore keep fiendin for more
Tha thin line between entertainment and war
