So removing a single facet equals a 'busted' union?

Seems someone has been feeding you a 5 course meal of disinformation.

What? Pensions are all the teachers have going for them since they had previously negotiated higher benefits with their employer to make up for their low salaries.

We will see how this class war against the working class and the elderly works out for the GOP at election time. Perhaps it is as you say and people don't mind just having "some" of their rights taken away to provide more funding of tax cuts for the rich.

"But perhaps the most significant part of the legislation is what it would do to collective bargaining in the state. While the measure would significantly curtail that privilege for the vast majority of state employees, it would specifically remove the right of the university system's faculty and staff members to bargain collectively."

Who represents the people in compensation for services negotiations?

The Governor of course so when the unions wish to petition the recall of the governor they therefore defy the will of the people do they not. Now if it is truly the citizens of WI. who wish this recall to go through, then so be it. When WI. goes into insolvency then the all other states in this union should deny any assistance ie; bailouts to the state of Wisconsin. The faster the people of WI. realize that their state is broke then the faster to the road of recovery WI. will be on.

When Walker is recalled early next year, then you will realize that the crap he is trying to pull does not represent the will of the people.

Then so be it, let WI. travel down the road it wishes to travel because it will definitely not be alone, many other states will accompany WI. down the road to insolvency. All union contracts, private contracts etc. will become null and void no matter what the wish at that point. This isn't a right or left thing, this is about money you either have it or you don't and currently our country the USA doesn't have it, along with just about very state. We can sit here and blame on side or the other, it doesn't make a bit a difference, we have over spent, over borrowed and we are now broke and something has to give and the taxpayer I believe is had enough, or at least I have anyway.
