President Obama has troubles with voters in Texas, and, apparently, with interviewers from the Lone Star State as well.

"Let me finish my answers the next time we do an interview, all right?" Obama told reporter Brad Watson after an interview with WFAA-TV of Dallas, one of four interviews with local television stations at the White House on Monday.

The exchange is toward the end of the video.

Obama to reporter: 'Let me finish my answers' next time - The Oval: Tracking the Obama presidency

What a child this man is. Thin skinned, and unwilling to be challenged in his answers to tough questions. In fact anyone remember during the campaign, reporters he didn't like the questions of somehow disappeared from the press pool?

This is a man that likes to 'control' the media and when he can't it rattles him. What a loser he is.

This is The Obama Way. And his buddy, Raum, ascribes to the same playbook. I can't find a link, but Emanuel has temporarily ostracized a few reporters for their "uncomfortable questions." The press corps has responded with, "This ain't Washingon." I just heard one of them interviewed on the radio this morning.

Haven't you noticed that with a LARGE amount of the media? Apparently, everything needed to be fair when Obama and his administration entered office.

This isn't that uncommon. The White House tries and gets as many friendly reporters there as possible to portray them in a better light. Secondly, there is a difference between asking tough question and getting answers and being an asshole reporter. Continually interrupting the interviewee is an asshole thing to do.

well you can't really blame someone for getting upset with being cut off mid sentance. he is the President afterall.

With his comments that were caught "off camera", it wouldn't surprise me that he is complaining a bit much. It's understood that the media will do whatever they can to try to get an answer. If he doesn't like it, then perhaps he shouldn't interview as much. Then again, that could create a different problem all in itself...

Isn't it appropriate to let someone answer, completely answer a question when you ask one? Why ask a question if you don;t really want a complete answer? Sounds like what you would find on a politicakl board where the person asking the question only wants the answer they've created in their mind.

Getting an answer is fine. But being an ass and keep on interrupting him when he is trying to answer is different.

Obama has been babied since the day he announced his run for president its been nonstop pandering to him...he is totally unprepared to be asked real questions.

Al Capone didn't like tough questions either.

I see no problems calling Obama the filibuster king on his lies. You had no problem with it when it was Helen Thomas interrupting Geo Bush, now it is a problem....I see.

Good for the President. Conservative reporters consistently try to entertain the M&Ms (misfits, malcontents and miscreants) of the extreme right with rude behavior. I'm glad the President slapped him down.

I don't remember ever complaining about Bush and Helen Thomas. Perhaps you have a link? And how many questions did Bush ever actually answer?

J, this is trivial ****. Whinning unnecessarly. If you want an answer, let him answer. If you don't like the answer, ask the question again and specificy what you thought was weak. This is not hard. And this whining about the how mean Obama abused the poor report is just dishonest.

Well, this is a new level of stupid complaint. Oh ****, the president got upset when some one did not let him finish his answer!!11!!ONE!!!1

But its shows he's human and we can't have a president who is human!

Was he being continually cut off? I think I'd be pissed too. What's wrong with wanting to finish your answer (I know Obama often has long-winded answers, but was that the case here?)

I don't know if this is what you'd call "defending Obama", but I thought the reporter that interviewed him was, to say the least, kind of a jerk to the president. Interrupting what he was saying just to rub in the fact that Obama lost the state by 10 points, rather than a few, seemed not only unprofessional to me, but displayed the reporters obvious political bias.

Putting that aside, Obama should have taken a page from George Bush when it comes to being interviewed by rude or hostile members of the media... He should have just smiled, thanked the man and walked away without comment.

I completely agree Grim.

Is there nothing this president can do or say that is too insignificant to be pettily whined about?

I agree. There is nothing wrong with asking tough questions, but the journalist also has to be respectful of the person they are interviewing. If you can't be respectful, you won't get a second chance to interview. It's common ****ing sense, and all presidents have avoided questions... not directly answered the questions or never take questions from certain reporters.

However, I haven't seen many politicians and never a president go off on journalists and attack them like I have seen celebrities. Some journalists are well known for pissing people off and crossing the line.

I also hate when journalists ask stupid ass questions like... how did it feel being held hostage with a knife to your throat? I have seen some journalists angrily ask the same question over and over to people who have no capability to answer to question or to the info. Sometimes people want answers, and the journalists is trying to appear tough or save face.

BTW... I have never met anybody who has dealt with journalists themselves, and claim to like them.

Put this statement back in the early 2000's and you'd be a Bush Republican my friend.

He hasn't behaved like a president since he took office, why would you expect him to behave like one during an interview?

It depends on the journalist. Some are extremely professional, some are complete assholes.
