If you have watched interviews with Obama, he likes to drone on and run out the time so the interviewer has to intertupt to get more questions in.

Scedule more time. If the question is worth asking, it's worth listening to the entire answer.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

The answer is only worth listening to if relevant to the question posed.

True, and thus the followup question. I have no problem requiring an actual answer. But we have to be willing to listen to the answer.

And if he gives you some run of the mill bull**** answer you stop in mid sentence. I would too. I have a feeling me interviewing that empty suit would not go well.

At this stage, all our politiicans give BS answers. We should require all of them answer. No need to be too abusive, but being persistent is not a fault. And saying clearly that the answer was lacking is fine as well. And as a people, we need to not see being tough on our guy is biased. They should all be held to the fire.

BTW, this should be about real issues and not senesational nutter ****.

To be fair it is considered rude to cut people off when they're talking.
    I may be wrong.

Yes, it is. No need to either. You can be tough without being rude.

I'm not a water-carrier for the President, but for the love of everything that is holy this is a retarded thread and that reporter's characterization is completely false.

The President's complaint was that he was being interrupted, and he didn't want to be interrupted.

I'm the same way. It takes me a little more time than most other people to formulate a thought in a way that will make sense to someone else and then give voice to it, so when someone interrupts me it totally derails my brain and pisses me the **** off.

****ing bloody hell, if you're going to complain about the President at least come up with a legitimate complaint.
I'm already gearing up for Finger Vote 2014.

Just for reference, means my post was a giant steaming pile of sarcasm.

The interviewer doesn't decide how much time he has, the administration does. He does what he needs to do.

Now with that being said, I think Obama is a checkers player as opposed to a chess player.

His comments put this nothing reporter on the lips of the whole country.

If Obama would have just walked off, nobody would have even paid attention to the interview and we wouldn't be talking about it here now.

We need a chess player as a president to see three or four moves down the road.
