The druggies' kids would be better off if the druggie parent didn't recieve food stamps. That said, I wouldn't support a law that doesn't respect the fact that people can get clean and turn thier lives around. I think food stamps is the right thing to do but I don't think we do enough to prevent its abuse.

I live in a bad neighborhood and there is a park within view of my home. All day long there are dozens of people who hang out alllllll daaay Lonnnnnng and drink, do drugs and fight, every day, weather permitting. They are all healthy and fully capable of working or going to school but they choose to hang out in the park and party. When I see them in the grocery store, they are paying with food stamps.

Call me an elitist for thinking they should lose the right to vote and get drugged tested if they are on welfare but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that they are going to vote for whoever promises to take more money from “rich” people and give it to them so they can keep partying and never need to go get a job.
Do you really think that people like that bother to vote at all? Seriously?

His speech wasn't sound because it was a CAMPAIGN SPEECH. Its obvious his #1 goal was to get this rhetoric crap to as many potential first time voters as possible. That's one of the big reasons he won in 2008, he duped many of the 18-24 year olds/college students/first time voters into thinking that everything Bush did was terrible. It's no coincidence that he made this speech at a local university, he even mentioned in his speech that he was glad he could get so many of them out of class!

His party couldn't get a budget passed in 2011, then they wanted to blame it on those who had to pick up the slack. He said both sides need to step it up and get a budget passed, then he makes his comments about Paul Ryan's budget. Then he had the nerve to get up on stage and try to bulls**t the American people into thinking that higher taxes for the rich and entitlement reform would help. All of us who were actually awake during his speech could see that 1. Raising taxes won't be enough and 2. He will never win a re-election with entitlement reform.

I completely understand why Biden would sleep during this fool's speech.

that is disgusting in my book. making the rich pay the bills of the slackers encourages the slackers to vote themselves more and more stuff that other people have to pay for

I guess you havent figured out that is why this country is in a world of hurt when it comes to financial sanity

too many children with credit cards and not enough adults to pay the bills

I like Franklin. Nice glasses. Cool kite.

What I do not like is people who fail to support their pontificating with proper evidence.

the evidence is obvious-you pretend it doesn't exist because it demonstrates how pathetic your desires are. you have constantly defended the system that allows the many to vote up-through the people they elect-the taxes of the top tax payers.

In Debate, there is no obvious evidence. That is not how debate works. If it is so obvious, just present it so we can verify it and examine it. You make a claim, you support the claim with evidence, we examine it and challenge it or accept it. That is how this works. This is not the I BELIEVE site. It is the DEBATE POLITICS site.
