So we have a second hand account of bill that hasn't passed issued by an organization with no ability to enforce anything. Yeah, I'm real worried now.

We had better damn well hope that this doesn't happen. If it does, Mother Earth might file attempted murder charges on all of us, and we would be in deep doo-doo.

I guess I am guilty of a massacre anytime I ride at dawn or dusk as I surely kill dozens of mosquitoes on such a ride...

This is lunacy, but it won't become international law as decisions of the UNGA generally do NOT become such unless it is actually put into practice by member states...

There is no veto power in the UNGA... majority vote only...

Reminds me of the time I once played soccer with a rat. We were visiting friends in a rural area not far from Shanghai. There was a rate in the basement where about 15 of us were eating... they tried to kill it, but it escaped from where they had it encircled and it ran right at me. Well, being a former soccer player, you see anything resembling a ball approaching you and what do you do? Kick it of course... I kicked it right back into the corner of the room where they promptly killed it... funny as h$%l....

I totally agree with the resolution. How can human beings be so naive as not to recognize that life forms do not have to be similar to ourselves. The earth has trees and greenery as similar to hairs on humans. Fluids that could equate to body fluids. An atmosphere/biosphere that harbors parasites until they begin to damage the host. Usually such thoughts are anaethema (sp) to humans because of their swollen egos. They can't acknowledge the possibility that they might not be the pre eminent beings of the universe. Possibly even insignificant. Their medias and politics and education are constantly massaging their egos and encouraging their fantasies. There is a real world here.

Those Bolivians are way ahead of their time. It's too soon for something like this to be the norm everywhere, but make no mistake, this is exactly where we're headed. Eventually the whole world will make protecting nature a priority.
