    However, he's right you know.

I welcome the efforts of the bipartisan group of Senators who are working to transform the Bowles-Simpson Commission's recommendations into legislation. I also welcome Congressman Paul Ryan's fiscal concept statement. Both make opening contributions to the larger fiscal consolidation debate. I will also welcome President Obama's contribution to be outlined on Wednesday.

Clearly, with the 2012 elections looming, there will obviously be a political scramble to gain credit. IMO, who will ultimately get credit if the effort is successful is much less important than whether a credible fiscal consolidation path is laid out. That the parties may finally be moving toward engagement on those issues is encouraging, but a lot of risky political effort remains to be pursued. The process is just approaching its infancy. While I don't expect everything to be fleshed out in time for the debt ceiling debate vote, I believe agreement on some broad parameters, general long-term deficit reduction targets, and some implementation mechanisms should be part of the overall arrangement. I don't believe mere promises would be credible. Something more than that would be required.

You libs? Like I get orders from some big agency telling me what to believe
The facts are that the wars are extremely expensive, and Bush didn't put the wars on the books, which made that graph look like Obama is spending way more than Bush, when in reality he isn't. We need to cut the military, social security, and medicaid if we are going to solve the deficit, and that hasn't happened yet, I hope it does soon.

HusSame is trying to pull the biggest 180 in history, in an effort to woo the very voters who still believe it was BJ Clinton who balanced the budget and reformed Welfare. Coming on the heels of last Friday night, when the Tea Party dragged Obama and Democrats to The Largest Spending Cut in US History kicking and screaming......only to have The Most Expensive President in US History take credit a few hours later.

This will be interesting........if Obama supports cutting Medicaid and Medicare today.......the Democrat faithful will support it tomorrow......just as they did with Barack Petroleum's Lybian War for Oil.

4/11/2011......Democrats support killing Seniors and depriving "da Childen"....

Doesn't really matter, nothing will actually change. The Republocrats spent us into this mess, and they'll continue to do so. We'll get into more wars, waste more American lives and American dollars, become more in debt to China; and all we'll have is the same players running and the same idiots arguing that their retard is the better retard so we should vote for him.
You know the time is right to take control, we gotta take offense against the status quo

Quite true. Only if epublicans are running the show again, they'll say the debt doesn't matter.

Do you believe that the debt run up by Obama matters, Boo?
