it's actually entitled the Troop Support Bill.

I'm thinking that's going to play well in 2012. Obama threatens to veto the Troop Support Bill, stopping our soldiers in the field from getting paid, and then went on vacation to Williamsburg.

Obama did to look like he was trying to fix the economy. It did not hurt his special interest groups

Anybody who tries to sell that absurdity to the American public will be left high and dry appealing only to the True Believers who even themselves know the fraud of it.

Explain why the House GOP rejected a clean bill yesterday which would pay the troops without all the other crap attached to it if they are so patriotic and bleed red white and blue?

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.... John Rogers

Thats because the democrats refused to pass a budget last year before the election because they thought it would hurt them in the election.

And he's alone in that? No republcian has a special interest group it protects? How are those tax increases coming?

You are correct that all politicians preen for their base. What boxes Obama in a bit is his " Change you can Believe in". Not blaming him for being human afterall, but wonder how that will impact him in 2012 with all those folks that thought he walked on water.

Why didn't they pass a budget in September 2010 like they were supposed to and before the GOP took the house?

This budget fiasco is without a doubt the fault of democrats.

I think there were fewer of those than advertised by his opponents. I think a good number just saw him as a better choice.

There isnt a "threat to shut down the government." There is a lack of a passed budget because the democrat leadership in the house and senate have failed to pass an operating budget since 2009. The democrats failed to even put together a budget proposal, even with massive majorities in both houses. They failed Deuce. The democrats didnt do their job and now people like you are whining about what the Republicans arent doing? Come on, baby...show me your war face. Where is your outrage that the 2010 congress failed to pass a budget and fund those spending programs you are so fond of?
