well bill takes no guff. he rips into Palin from time to time as well, and was pretty tough on O'Donnel too, as I recall.

Re: Bill O'Reilly..., rips presidential wannabe Donald Trump over Obama 'birther'clai

which, i should point out, is why his is the most higly rated show and has been for years.

Re: Bill O'Reilly..., rips presidential wannabe Donald Trump over Obama 'birther'clai

Meh, for an Ivy Leaguer, O'Reilly has such a third-grade look at the world. And I'm as conservative as they come. Hannity is no better.

I like Fox when they're not in primetime. In fact, all of the prime time shows on the cable news networks are a waste of time, particularly that freak show of losers going on at MSNBC.

Do I hear liberal crickets? :lamo

I'm not on the birther side, but O'Reilly is using bad information as proof. He claims that because news papers announced the birth that that means he was born there. On the contrary. My birth announcement was in Wichita Ks (where I was born), Hillsboro Ks (where an aunt lived), Denver Co (where another aunt lived), and McAllen Tx (where my maternal grandmother lived). All that has to be done, at least back then, was to call the paper and let them know and they would run it. There may have been a small fee, but it was the thing to do back then. Everyone called their local paper and told them of a relative's birth. I would expect, with Obama's grandmother living in Hawaii that, where ever he was born, Grandma wanted the announcement in her local paper.

I've never heard that explanation before but it's definitely possible.

Im not into the birther thing at this point its a mute issue, hes been president over two years whats the point. I do think its strange that obama has allowed it to go on so long. Even Bob Beckel liberal extraordinaire has said he wished obama would put this issue to bed once and for all. So do I

Re: Bill O'Reilly..., rips presidential wannabe Donald Trump over Obama 'birther'clai

I, often identified as a bleeding liberal, issue my warm regards for Bill over this.

There.

Donald Trump is a joke. He couldn't even make money running a casino.

...what? What the **** are you talking about? This time it's liberals being agreed with.

Also, you don't get to ****ing make the crickets remark less than an hour into a thread's existence.

Jesus, there's partisan and then there's living in some alternate universe.

From time to time Bill does make a good call and I'll give him credit on this one. Birthers are an insult to the intelligence of the nation and should not be given credibility.

But... since the left hates O'Reilly, and thinks everything he says is a lie...

I have actually praised O'Reilly on these boards in the past. I don't agree with him much, and he goes over the top sometimes, but I do on occasion watch his show, and find him entertaining. You really should not make these broad blanket assumptions and telling people what they think, you will fail every single time.

I do love how you turned this into a chance to rip liberals though. When a story does not give a real chance to do so, you just make it up and still try(and fail) to do it.

Re: Bill O'Reilly..., rips presidential wannabe Donald Trump over Obama 'birther'clai

I'm not a big fan of O' Reilly by any stretch and it has seemed to me that he he has gone out of his way at just about every turn to kiss Obama's butt.

I think Trump is making a legitimate point and I have said the same thing a thousand times. Asking a question doesn't make you a conspiracy not. Not asking and believing with no proof does makes you gullible as hell.

If Obama has a real Birth Certificate why has he spent an estimated $2,000,000 to not have answer the questions himself.

It is just curious.

You don't respond to crazy people. They won't believe any evidence you give them and you don't want to give them any more credibility than they already have. Ignoring is the only option when dealing with idiots. That's why Bush never came out and gave a speech about how he wasn't behind 9/11. It would have been pointless because the tards that want to believe that crap wouldn't care what was said.

i don't. one of the differences between this president and the past one is that this one actually appreciates the fringe opposition; as it allows him to paint the entire opposition with their brush. So, for example, while Bush would never have gone out and said that Democrats are all nutjobs who think that the US Government pulled off 9/11 (despite the Democrats open love affair with Michael Moore after his movie claiming that came out), Obama enjoys the ability to go out and talk about those people opposing him... you know, the tea partier, birther, types...

the optics of having some loony opponents works in his favor, and he knows that.

Re: Bill O'Reilly..., rips presidential wannabe Donald Trump over Obama 'birther'clai

CP, you know you are tying the Tea party in with Birthers, right? You did that, not Obama.

I soooo..agree with you about O'Reilly kissing Obama's butt. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who has noticed that, and other things about him.
Then, when I started noticing liberals didn't have the hatred of him that they do others on fox, I knew that my distaste for him must have sound reasoning behind it.

Re: Bill O'Reilly..., rips presidential wannabe Donald Trump over Obama 'birther'clai

Over the years I've grown to view O'Reilly with some respect. He may argue like an ass, but he is usually at least honest about issues and admits (most of the time) when he is wrong.

I was really impressed with his interview of Obama, I didn't expect that level of professionalism from him and was pleasantly surprised that he asked pointed tough questions but let Obama answer and dealt with him rathr fairly.

He didn't kiss Obama's butt when he interviewed him last time...
