At Least 55 Killed In Iraq Provincial Council Attack

(RTTNews) - As many as 55 people have been killed and 95 injured after suspected insurgents stormed a government building in the northern Iraqi city of Tikrit and took several people hostage, reports said on Tuesday.

Local officials told media that a suicide bomber set off an explosion outside the Salahuddin provincial council building and gunmen clad in army fatigues stormed it afterwards. According to reports, security forces cordoned off the building for several hours before forcing their way inside.

Looks like this ain't over.
