Then the kids'd get jobs in America, and more than likely become productive citizens. So it actually seems that these kiddies would be less of a strain on the economy than many poor families who reside in California, and are stuck in generational poverty.
Yes, it does seem odd that Ca wants to crack down on those babies while embracing the poor illegal immigrants.

Actually if used the way it was meant to be ( making babies born to slaves citizens) it wouldn't need repealed or amended.

If that was its original purpose, it is antiquated and should be repealed.

There's a lot more to the 14th. Amendment than giving children of illegals citizenship rights. We need to be very careful in amending it.

Better yet, let's have a workable immigration policy and enforce our sovereignty by controlling the borders instead of following the Romans in yet another way by allowing the "barbarians" to come and go as they please.

Open borders didn't work out so well for the Romans, after all.

I would have to agree with this assessment. These Chinese "tourists" must be well off by american standards and very, very well off by Chinese standards. Have you priced what it costs to live in SoCal for a few months w/o working just waiting to give birth? That doesn't include the transportation costs.
I doubt that these babies come from families that would let them be a drain on our economy.
Even though what they were doing was illegal and they shouldn't've done it, these are prob'ly the sorts of immigrants that we would like to have from China.
    I may be wrong.

Yes, ILLEGAL immigration IS the problem.....and YES, these women are exploiting the law to have their children be born into American citizenship...there seems to be a real lack comprehension about the issue....here

And Cali should have been doing what to stop this problem with Birthing Centers before now?

Southern California has become a hub of so-called birthing tourism. Operators of such centers tend to try to blend in, attracting as little attention as possible.
