Adviser: Bachmann likely to enter WH race

bba, baby!

get behind it, or EXPLAIN why you're not

i'm not talking to you, you're as insignificant as me

i'm talking to manchin, webb, nelson, nelson, conrad, kohl, casey, cantwell, mccaskill, brown, bingaman, tester, klobuchar, stabenow, difi, akaka, lieberman...

party on, progressives

I did see where the Republicans voted for privatization, which is okay with me. But do they have the balls to really do something about the entitlements? I guess we'll see.

A lot depends on whether or not they have public support.

If the public demands entitlements and the politicians want to keep their jobs then the entitlements will continue and the debt will grow larger. It's a Ponzi scheme.

If the majority of the public believes they can borrow their way to prosperity and that the government can look after them then the republic will cease to be viable. It's really as easy and straightforward as that.

Rioters and protesters get a lot of publicity and create fear among most politicians as do those who say the government is "heartless". Is it possible to find enough strong and honest people to stand up against them? Those who stand up for fiscal responsibility will be swimming against the current, that's certain.

Yeah, that's right. And it also depends on whether os not they grew a sac when they were kids.

he asks...

and answers!

LOL!

meanwhile, seeya on the senate floor

bring your accountants

we'll bring the media

It probably is best if you guys bring the media. Then maybe you can persuade them to turn off their microphones when Bachmann speaks. That's the only way she'll have a chance.

Who would have thought Barrack Obama was electable at this point? We'll all just have to watch the primaries.

It is too early to tell. But, honestly, would you want her to be the primary winner?

still answering self asked questions, huh?

LOL!

bba, baby!

we got all 47 on board

what are manchin, mccaskill, nelson, nelson, webb, casey and kohl and the other dozen dems endangered gonna do?

stay tuned

are you folks following the senators TWISTING over THE MANDATE

we'll record THEIR answers to that one too!

The point is your party needs to nominate somebody who has a chance of winning. Michelle Bachmann is not that person. Do you not realize that? She's what this thread is about. People know her name only because she constantly says stupid things on video or TV.

I'm sure you're quite anxious for Republicans to nominate someone their party "needs" and has a chance of winning. :)

I think I speak for most of us here when I say that I would like nothing more in 2012 but to see a quality candidate on the Republican side. I don't want to be forced to vote for Obama again, simply because of a lack of quality on the other side.

I can't imagine any way in which Michele Bachmann represents "the best" the Republican party has.

I think I'd like to see Manchin win re-election but switch parties.
He's not for the health care bill or cap and trade.

Frankly, I'd probably vote for Romney if he had a different on opinion on abortion and gay marriage (he's still somewhat of a moderate on those issues, though).
Not sure at this moment who I'd vote for, maybe a third party or maybe not at all.

If the republicans make social conservativism and issue this election I will certainly not be voting for them.

I don't think his stances would change if he switched parties (at least I hope not - that's a betrayal of your principles). He's from WV so of course he's against cap and trade. So is rockefeller.
I'm interested to see how he will vote 2 years from now if he wins re-election. He may be putting on a ruse so he could get elected again.

Seriously, don't nominate Palin. She has no chance, and the arena would become a circus.

Actually, I personally would vote for a Republican for President if I think he'd do a good job. Gingrich, Palin, Bachmann, Huckabee...never. Romney, possibly, although he has some flip-flop and honesty issues.

Just curious, who do you think we "need" to win the election?

I don't know yet. When the dust settles a little, going into the primary election, hopefully there will be someone in the field who is worthy. Texas' governor? Barbar? Jindall? It may turn out that most of the current possibilities just won't be there. Same for the Democrats.

I know the feeling, just like those around here labeling themselves "moderates" or "Independants" ;)

j-mac

Independents can be left or right leaning - they just choose not to associate with any brand names. Bernie Sanders is a socialist, but he can still call himself an independent as much as an anarchist could.

Just make sure you are a flat spot on that fence...Could get painful. Anarchists? When are the meetings?

PS. I prefer to call it what it is, shame for their beliefs. Real courage.....lol
