Americans are so enamored of equality that they would rather be equal in slavery than unequal in freedom.

And then done what? Implemented Romney-care? (which by the way, is awfully similar to Obama-care).

That'll happen around the same time the GOP decides to get serious about balancing the budget instead of going after their enemies.

When the GOPers actually offer a spending bill that will actually pass, let me know... The bills aren't controversial because the Democrats love to spend. GOP spending bills are controversial because they are unprecedented and not considered favorable by many people. All the GOP is doing is appeasing their base while accomplishing nothing, and the same old suckers keep falling for it.

Neither party is serious about cutting anything. Also, the democrats don't even run on fiscal conservativism.

Bit too many letters there buddy lol
Nobody who wins a war indulges in a bifurcated definition of victory. War is a political act; victory and defeat have meaning only in political terms. A country incapable of achieving its political objectives at an acceptable cost is losing the war, regardless of battlefield events.

Bifurcating victory (e.g. winning militarily, losing politically) is a useful salve for defeated armies. The "stab in the back" narrative helped take the sting out of failure for German generals after WWI and their American counterparts after Vietnam.

All the same, it's nonsense. To paraphrase Vince Lombardi, show me a political loser, and I'll show you a loser.

Bill Clinton actually balanced the budget though... where is praise from the Conservatives?

What has BHO done for Gay Rights?

As I recall he was against Gay marriage, and although Gay rights are important to some, it is not a high priority issue on most people's minds.
