Actually, Columbia has expanded and rented out 7 AF bases to the US to ostensibly perform operations all over SAmerica if necessary.

And GPS, youre a typical ignoramus, comparing a SAmerican leftist movement to a European Nazi movement. The right in that country and here plays victimhood, I've never heard of the militias doing anything to anyone. Unless, say you took away the funding for their hospitals and schools and sent them back to live a life in shanties and scraping a living out of the dirt and jungles. In which case they would be humanly justified in conducting a civil war for the sake of their dignity as humans.

Henchmen? Hardly, they're there to wage class-war if Chavez' social projects for the poor (the majority of the country) are rolled back.

The Bolivarian National Police? It is the countries first National Policer. The police force in earlier years was in shamble. After studies done the police force in different agencies was in shambles and not adequate. Crime was very high and was a big issue for Chavez and the citizens to solve.
Well he had decree powers for a short time back in 2008, so he established a police force, he received this decree power through a national assembly vote, and also the power and creations Chavez makes with this decree power can be modified or rescinded by the National Assembly at any time and the population has the guaranteed right under our constitution to nullify any of these laws through a national referendum.
Its also to mention that the police are specifically trained in human rights and crime prevention, they receive this training from the Experimental Security University (a college).

On the Mars issues it was a joke? Why is it that Latin Americans get the joke but Americans don't? Are we that oblivious to the environmental damages we cause in Latin America? Its pretty obvious that it is a joke....

Marshabar: Have a quick question... Why does the US only intervene with powers that have oil? Also what about the Trans-Saharan gas pipeline from Nigeria to Algeria, expected to be online in 2015? Why do we pick and choose where we intervene. We were silent about Tunisia, Yemen, Saudia Arabia, (really didnt care waht happpen) Egypt, Syria... Where is there intervnetion?

Contractors with guns. Like Z, Remember Blackwater, Dyncorp, etc. Hired guns. Hundred of thousands of hired guns. Private contractors in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, and where else. These hire out to the highest bidder. Hired guns. What is not clear about this?

I thought Wakenhut was only domestic. Comparing Libya's hired goons to a domestic security company would be misbehaviour. It's a stretch at any rate, but I see.

ps. Blackwater refused to work for other governments, they were not "highest bidder".

I've never seen any reference to any document that says Blackwater (Z) would only work for the US. They are hired by many foreign governments as embassy guards or bodyguards. They are mercenaries. You could, of course, check their Corporate Charter and they are allowed to do what that says, in the USA.
