Newley formed militias? See, he's consolidating power just like Hitler did. Do they wear brown shirts?

Re: Chavez says capitalism may have ended life on Mars

"The days of a police force that defends the bourgeoisie are over,'' Chávez said recently. "We need police with ideology, with their own doctrine -- a revolutionary socialist police.''

The president added that crime is caused by capitalism, and the solution is socialism. Police officers, he says, may be drawn from the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela...

But Liliana Ortega, head of Cofavic -- a human rights organization set up to defend victims of the security forces -- says the president's words set an "extremely grave precedent...in Latin America, the result of combining police and party-politics is well known -- the outcome is state terrorism.''
Chávez: We need police with ideology, doctrine -- a revolutionary socialist police - U.S. Politics - MarketWatch Group Discussion

In 2008, Chávez passed a decree designed to implement Conarepol's recommendation on the national police force, and the National Bolivarian Police (PNB),[271][272] and Experimental Security University began operations in 2009.

The decree has been criticized because it was negotiated behind closed doors, and did not follow all of Conarepol's recommendations to deal with human rights, and because "politicization of the force could undercut the goal of professionalization".[273][275]

    Note:

    "National Bolivarian Police"

That's like having a "National Capitalism Police", which represses socialist ideas and enterprises. Would you support that?

So if the US told them to attack Venezeula they would?

We heard you the first time, calm down.

David Bowie would know for sure. Let's just ask him.

OK I made a couple of calls and found him

Bowie: Oi, that's just my gag, no life on mars.

Correction. It would be like having "National Corporatism Police" and I believe Wackenhut and the many "contractors" already do exist. Great bunch of killers/guys, eh what! Chavez seems to be about 4 steps ahead of you, fortunately.

Actually, Columbia has expanded and rented out 7 AF bases to the US to ostensibly perform operations all over SAmerica if necessary.

And GPS, youre a typical ignoramus, comparing a SAmerican leftist movement to a European Nazi movement. The right in that country and here plays victimhood, I've never heard of the militias doing anything to anyone. Unless, say you took away the funding for their hospitals and schools and sent them back to live a life in shanties and scraping a living out of the dirt and jungles. In which case they would be humanly justified in conducting a civil war for the sake of their dignity as humans.

Security guards = nationally trained henchmen?

    C'mon, behave.

Henchmen? Hardly, they're there to wage class-war if Chavez' social projects for the poor (the majority of the country) are rolled back.

No, he's the product of democratic socialism, it's not an uncommon thing to see such leaders display bat **** insanity.
Climate, changes. It takes a particularly uneducated population to buy into the idea that it's their fault climate is changing and further political solutions can fix it.
