Have you noticed that the DemSocialist knows what's going on in Venezuela and you do not. Food for thought. See Doc Feelgood about getting your ears bobbed.

As usual, Chavez has things backwards. Venus was before, its atmosphere is greenhouse gas. The sun is getting larger; Mars is next.

I really don’t care to research the POS anymore because he is rabidly anti American and I am an American. That makes him my enemy. I wish him a quick demise and hope that you come to your senses soon.

We will see whether he uses more Hitler like tactics to oppress any opposition in the upcoming 2012 election but my money is on Chavez winning something like 99% of the vote just like the elections in other totalitarian regimes always go.
Funny thing is every time a new Venezuelan election comes around the US corporate ran media are the only people saying "ohh he wont let them happen", "ohh they are corrupt." And what happens? An election.. Not to mention a very fair election..

An executive order is very very similar (maybe even the same) as the Rule By Decree whole thing going on right now...

Still have no idea how you are comparing Hitler to Chavez. Let me try to lay lthis out for you one more time... Yes Hitler was appointed Chancelor of Germany through "legal means". But lets look at these "legal means". After the Reichstag Fire a decree passed called the Reichstag Fire Decree, people were locked up who were considered questionable.. Many of the minority (and many majority) members of the Reichstag were locked up without question... The Reichstag basically diapered. And under the Enabling Act it allowed the cabinet to enact legislation, including laws deviating from or altering the constitution, without the consent of the Reichstag. So pretty much what that is saying is that they put Hitler in power without even consending the Reichstag (which was pretty much all locked up in prison on "suspension") and they did not even consent to the people of Germany. Now once Hitler was in power he had total authority in all areas, was not "re-elected", and was "Fuhrer", cult of personality around himself...
Now how does this compare to Chavez? Well saying Chavez was democratically elected (i believe 6 times) by the people. He received his rule of decree through a full assembly not a locked up assembly and the decree powers were required to go through the National Assembly and it passed a law. Now Chavez does not have this decree power for life he only has it for i believe 15 more months. Also unlike Hitler (still shocked your trying to compare these two) these laws can be modified or rescinded by the National Assembly at any time and the population has the guaranteed right under our constitution to nullify any of these laws through a national referendum.
Im sorry but your whole post of Hitler=Chavez was just terrible.

Sounds like what a dictator would do/say to me.
Straw man argument just how he "wont hold elections in 2012".
Same thing was said 2000, and 2006... But elections were held...

Other nations have the right to decide what form of government they want and as painful as it sounds...They only operate with a strong man in charge and thats where guys like Chavez jump in.

Re: Chavez says capitalism may have ended life on Mars

(Reuters) - Capitalism may be to blame for the lack of life on the planet Mars, Venezuela's socialist President Hugo Chavez said on Tuesday.

"I have always said, heard, that it would not be strange that there had been civilization on Mars, but maybe capitalism arrived there, imperialism arrived and finished off the planet," Chavez said in speech to mark World Water Day.

    And in other news...

Socialism, communism and the Jews may be at fault for sinking the lost city of Atlantis, according to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

National Ideological Police, tasked with enforcing the state-supported and imposed ideology; he has a national political police force - basically, brown shirts. I could go on, but that is sufficient to raise the eyebrows of any even slightly critical mind.

Do you have a source for this "National Ideological Police"? Or are you talking about the newly formed Militias?
