New milestone: 1 in 6 Americans is Hispanic

Oh and here is a photo of illegal mexicans protesting the crackdown in Arizona. They were looking at the people FOR legal immigration.

ANd talk about RACIST. La Raza is as racist as you get. It means "The Race of". http://www.theblaze.com/stories/lef...-congress-sign-pledge-of-respect-for-latinos/

Yeah, I realized that. Even if you take out illegals, Hispanics are still the fastest-growing minority due to legal immigration and a higher-than-average birthrate. And, yes, the illegals are not American citizens, but for the purposes of a census they on are American soil and thus are included in the census statistics.

Goes to show it is a problem and if the government does not stop it they are not doing their job

Get rid of the illegals and you no longer have a large percentage of Hispanics

Actually if you get rid of illegals, Hispanic/Latinos are still among the largest minority groups, if not the largest. And they are the largest-growing minority as well.

From a political standpoint, I completely understand why illegal aliens from South and Central America are undesirable.
They typically are under/uneducated, support more centralized government schemes and can generally be said to not understand how our government is supposed to work.

With that said, I work with a lot of Hispanics immigrants (both legal and illegal) and they are good people.

I just go with the fact that they are disobeying what I consider to be reasonable laws

Yea but even with the new systems to check legal status, it's incredibly difficult to catch them.
Just last week, a guy who had been working at my plant for 7(?) years got busted, he was using a fake(or stolen) name and it's typical.

Yup! I 100% agree with you. They are very good folks for the most part. Except the racist ones that belong to La Raza. Leftist Group La Raza Demands Congress Sign ‘Pledge for Respect’ for Latinos | The Blaze

Meh, La Raza is no different from the early groups that us regular Anglos had when we first came to the states.

You are totally wrong......

It is past time for all Americans to know what is at the root of this outrageous behavior, and the extent to which the nation is at risk because of "La Raza" -- The Race.

There are many immigrant groups joined in the overall "La Raza" movement. The most prominent and mainstream organization is the National Council de La Raza -- the Council of "The Race".

To most of the mainstream media, most members of Congress, and even many of their own members, the National Council of La Raza is no more than a Hispanic Rotary Club.

But the National Council of La Raza succeeded in raking in over $15.2 million in federal grants last year alone, of which $7.9 million was in U.S. Department of Education grants for Charter Schools, and undisclosed amounts were for get-out-the-vote efforts supporting La Raza political positions.

The Council of La Raza succeeded in having itself added to congressional hearings by Republican House and Senate leaders. And an anonymous senator even gave the Council of La Raza an extra $4 million in earmarked taxpayer money, supposedly for "housing reform," while La Raza continues to lobby the Senate for virtual open borders and amnesty for illegal aliens.

Radical 'Reconquista' Agenda

Behind the respectable front of the National Council of La Raza lies the real agenda of the La Raza movement, the agenda that led to those thousands of illegal immigrants in the streets of American cities, waving Mexican flags, brazenly defying our laws, and demanding concessions.

Key among the secondary organizations is the radical racist group Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, or Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan (MEChA), one of the most anti-American groups in the country, which has permeated U.S. campuses since the 1960s, and continues its push to carve a racist nation out of the American West.

Why do you assume he was talking about the legal Hispanics in America? Why do you assume racism is always a factor in every discussion?
The outrage of 1/6 american are Hispanic is showing how the census statistics of illegal Hispanics is extremely high. Because the Census statistic's group the two groups together, NOT the OP. Naturally, when the total Hispanic population increases the total illegal population increased as well. It doesn't take a genius to decipher this from the information.

I did not assume racism, and I bet you cannot find even a few examples of me assuming racism in my 30k plus posts. Straw men are not a good debate tactic around here.

If you look at the numbers I showed, you would see that the legal hispanics far outnumber the illegals, so showing that the hispanics are 1/6 of the us population to bitch about illegal immigration is patently retarded. What makes it even more amusing is polling has shown time and again that hispanic citizens of the US are very much against illegal immigration. But the OP could not be bothered to make that distinction.

Yes you did. Dont deny it.

Noodle, your source there is an op/ed from one of the most xenophobic members of congress.

Yea but they are just a pro Hispanic group, much like the pro Irish, Italian, etc groups that have existed whenever any large ethnic group migrated to the U.S.

Just more politicized nationally than the groups that came before them.

Besides the fact that legal hispanics residing in the US far outnumber illegal aliens, there is also the fact that even if you take illegals out of the equation, hispanics are still one of, if not the, largest minority groups. Not only that, they are the fastest-growing minority group and that has a whole hell of a lot more to do with birthrates and legal immigration than it has to do with illegal immigration. THAT is why i was bothered by the rant bitching about illegals in the OP, because illegals are far from the main reason so many people in America are Hispanic. Yes, illegals are a problem. No, they are not the main factor in why there are so many Hispanics in this country. In fact if you take out the illegals, the percentage of Americans that claim Hispanic ethnicity would still be somewhere between 1/7 or 1/8, and still growing faster than any other group.

So, they're an ethnic/racial supremacist group. And this makes them distinctive from other supremacist groups how?

I think what pisses me off the most is I served with a fair number of hispanic americans. These where not just good people, but good people who loved their country and worked hard on it's behalf. They do not need to be **** on by people who think illegal alien every time they see a hispanic.

Gives the gov't of Mexico an easy out?? You think the gov't of Mexico WANTS massive emigration out of their country? lol

Want it or not, the fact that there is a prosperous country on the northern border of Mexico means that no jobs program is at all dire. No civilized people should tolerate it.

If a minority becomes a majority is it still a minority?

Will middle class white men gain minority status if they are outnumbered?

I don't think Mexico sees it that way. I am against illegal immigration because, by definition, those who come to the country illegally are criminals. If you can't respect our laws, I don't want you here.

However, lumping the vast majority of hispanics here legally with those here illegally is just stupid and insulting to those who are here legally.
I am talking about illegal imigrants having to leave Mexico because they can't find work there. Legal immigrants making up a large percent of the population is fine with me.

If you're right, it makes Noodle's link seem ridiculously one-sided.

They do things like provide help for latino's in getting mortgages and giving latino's scholarships.

Actually if you get rid of illegals, Hispanic/Latinos are still among the largest minority groups, if not the largest. And they are the largest-growing minority as well.

You can not say that when nobody knows what percent are illegal

Their leaving Mexico is not a benefit to Mexico was my point.
