I do like tacos, but there isn't much good authentic Mexican food where I live. I live in the North, and there isn't really an "invasion" coming from south of the boarder here...

Did you know that the Census didnt care if the hispanic was legal or not when they took their results? Geeeeeeee. I bet you didnt. Did you know that in my area alone called Little Mexico that it is approximated that at LEAST 40% of the latinos here are illegal ones? I bet you didnt. I also bet you didnt knwo that the schools are extremely crowded because of the HUGE influx of latino kids? And many of them can hardly even speak English? Bet you didnt know that.

Like I said.... its SOOOOOOOO easy to call people racist when they have no idea what the reality and the facts are.

In my city alone there are literally 8 mexican restaurants. I must say that is a BIG advantage. Great food! :)

Because when they took Census information a hispanic / latino didnt have to submit to their legal status. In fact it was 100% illegal for the govt. to even ask their legal status. They just wanted to know who LIVES in America. Sooooooooo the TITLE is not accurate.

I'm not worried. Once they take over, they'll illegally immigrate to Canada. It's what they do.

Seriously, if a white guy marries an Hispanic girl and has three kids that look whiter than snow, technically those kids are Hispanic.

It skews the numbers.

But California is lost. Illegally immigration and liberalism are a suicidal mix.

Alas I shall speak for myself. Regarding this thread and this topic and illegal immigration I dont a rats tail WHAT ethnicity they are. What I care about is they are here ILLEGALLY in the US. There are MANY negatives for them to be here. Very few positives. But thats not even the point. The POINT is there are here... ILLEGALLY!! I know a huge amount of facts regarding this topic. Well guesstimates say there are 11,000,000 illegal immigrants in America, 70% of which are from South/Central America, so that's 7.7 million illegal Hispanic immigrants (assuming all the ones from South/Central America are Hispanic), your OP says that 1/4 of Americans are Hispanic, which'd be 75,000,000, so that's about 68,000,000 Hispanics in America that aren't illegal

Tell me, are these areas generally impoverished, probably occupied by recent immigrants without high paying jobs? And if so, are these areas inherently worse than poor areas in other areas of the country, that are dominated by other minorities? And do middle and upper-class Hispanics live similar lives to those in poor areas?
