    Re: Cease fire in Libya

Keep in mind the UN resolution says the use of all necessary means to protect the Civilians, which means Gaddafi can face air strikes and attacks on his troops at any time.

If I were in charge I would use this time to put together a coalition and make plans to wipe out Libyan Forces if they move and inch, and I mean the kind of attack that would take out most if not all of the bases in the country.
This could be done in a few hours and be done with it.

I would include in the first wave an attack of massive proportion on what ever location Gaddafi is at, at the time.

By the way Obama dodged a bullet so to speak by the UN stepping up to the plate while he was either playing golf or pretending he was a basketball expert for ESPN.

How many French fighters are flyiing over Libya?

"Fly-over" country voted, and The Donald is now POTUS.

Britain has sent Typhoons (Eurofighter, France has these.) for air to air and GR4 Tornadoes to cover air to ground option.

    Re: Cease fire in Libya

As of now, the plan is for the operation to be run from Italy, and for the no-fly zone to be enforced by the UK, France, Belgium, Canada, and Denmark...possibly with a bit of token support from some Arab League countries.

I am glad that the United States is, so far, staying out of it. Maybe we'll be lucky and this will quickly sweep Gaddafi out of power. But history has shown us that that's an extremely optimistic viewpoint. Libya is just as likely to be a Black Hawk Down as it is a Kosovo (which, in retrospect, hardly looks like a success story itself).
