U.S. Seeks UN Resolution Authorizing Strikes on Libya

The "invaders" weren't spending more than the next ten countries on arms at the time.

And if the society that military protects, wants to spend the money there, as proven in those they elect to represent them in DC, then why do you have a problem with this?

Sounds like conservatives would rather continue enriching the bloated military industry through government largesse and instead impoverish the middle and lower classes in their old age, gut the education system that has provided the prosperity we all enjoy, and let the poor die in the streets from disease and injury. This is their solution to the budget problems. Completely unsurprising, as I stated earlier. You do realize that when we become less prosperous through all this kind of stupidity that we will then have to cut the military budget after all, right? Or that the rich will be forced to pay a hugely progressive tax in order to support it?
