Sounds like conservatives would rather continue enriching the bloated military industry through government largesse and instead impoverish the middle and lower classes in their old age, gut the education system that has provided the prosperity we all enjoy, and let the poor die in the streets from disease and injury. This is their solution to the budget problems. Completely unsurprising, as I stated earlier. You do realize that when we become less prosperous through all this kind of stupidity that we will then have to cut the military budget after all, right? Or that the rich will be forced to pay a hugely progressive tax in order to support it?

You can never be safe from a government that can keep you completely safe from each other and the world. You must choose.

Not this conservative... and what's all your hyperbole have to do with Libya and the no-fly zone exactly? And shouldn't you be complaining about how Obama has adopted almost 100% of the G.W. Bush foreign policy including taking part in bombing yet another Mulsim nation?
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.

I realize that the idea of cutting military spending seems like low hanging fruit to the average liberal, but what they never seem to ponder is that this country had occupants before the new tenants moved in.
"How was this possible", you say?
Because their defense was weak, they were conquered by superior technology.
They could have been exterminated if it were the will of the superior force.
I can't understand those who think that fate couldn't befall us if we do not keep our edge.
"Those who forget the past are destined to repeat it"
Those who would weaken this country by cutting military strength so we can have healthcare for illegal immigrants are traitors.

The "invaders" weren't spending more than the next ten countries on arms at the time.

And if the society that military protects, wants to spend the money there, as proven in those they elect to represent them in DC, then why do you have a problem with this?

Do you have the courage to respond to my post #117 directed to you?
Feel free to counter my FACTS, with your FACTS, not liberal partisan ramblings, to make your case.
