Re: PROMISES, PROMISES: Little transparency progress

    a few hours later:

Update: In a pants-on-fire moment, the White House press office today denied anyone there had issued threats to remove Carla Marinucci and possibly other Hearst reporters from the press pool covering the President in the Bay Area.

Chronicle editor Ward Bushee called the press office on its fib:

"Sadly, we expected the White House to respond in this manner based on our experiences yesterday. It is not a truthful response. It follows a day of off-the-record exchanges with key people in the White House communications office who told us they would remove our reporter, then threatened retaliation to Chronicle and Hearst reporters if we reported on the ban, and then recanted to say our reporter might not be removed after all.

    "The Chronicle's report is accurate.

"If the White House has indeed decided not to ban our reporter, we would like an on-the-record notice that she will remain the San Francisco print pool reporter."

I was on some of those calls and can confirm Ward's statement.
Update: Chronicle responds after Obama Administration punishes reporter for using multimedia, then claims they didn't : Bronstein at Large

that's bronstein talking, a pretty big name here in the bay area, calling barack the slasher hussein a liar

it all comes down to character

Re: PROMISES, PROMISES: Little transparency progress

    today:

President Obama today met King Abdullah of Jordan in the Oval Office -- statements, no questions. Still, it was better than last week's meeting with the NATO leader: No pool, no statements, no questions, no photos.

Yesterday, Obama met with flood victims and first responders in Memphis. That was a total lockout and the White House took up pool reporting duties, distributing details of the president's closed-door meetings that reporters had to take on faith, or not at all.

The president hasn't taken questions from the press since April 5, and then he only called on four reporters.

That was during the budget impasse, and since then we've seen the birth certificate, the end of Osama bin Laden, a deficit crisis looming, a big immigration reform push, the resignation of his Mideast peace envoy and more -- all without questions, all government-by-press-release.
this is roger simon's officially drug tested, professional leftist members of journolist talkin, here

this president appears AFRAID to address america on anyone's turf but his own

more power to him, but do you think it's smart

the journolisters, in addition to noting our budget crisis, for which the united states senate has not produced an itemized blueprint in two years

as well as recalling the assassination and the certificate and the phony immigration push the slasher made in el paso, where he scoffed at his detractors on the borders, suggesting they import some alligators...

    or something

the journolisters might as well have noted libya, the broader middle east, gas prices, the thousand plus waivers from obamacare, most for friends like reid and pelosi...

    it is what it is

    govt by press release

the most insular, insecure white house in memory

    transparency, anyone?

Maybe they're afraid he's got a case of the Biden's?

The article, facts, stats speak for themselves......its a reading of the nightmare this country is living. But the waking moment from this bad dream comes at the end, in the comments section. After reading through a great deal of them, I couldnt find one in support of the most non-transparent president in history. But I found a plethora of people who admitted they voted for Obama, and now realize they only voted for more of the HusSame. Change We Can SEE and Believe In......comes in 2012......when the reign of The Kenyan Tyrant comes to an end.

White House shuts out Herald scribe

The White House Press Office has refused to give the Boston Herald full access to President Obama’s Boston fund-raiser today, in e-mails objecting to the newspaper’s front page placement of a Mitt Romney op-ed, saying pool reporters are chosen based on whether they cover the news “fairly.”

“I tend to consider the degree to which papers have demonstrated to covering the White House regularly and fairly in determining local pool reporters,” White House spokesman Matt Lehrich wrote in response to a Herald request for full access to the presidential visit

Re: PROMISES, PROMISES: Little transparency progress

Amidst the news that 38 of the 204 Obamacare waivers approved in April went to posh entertainment venues in House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s district, new questions about the Obama administration’s transparency pledge have arisen.

Although the administration has approved more than 1,300 Obamacare waivers and published the recipients’ application information online, it has not made public which companies and other entities have been denied waivers and why they were denied.

Obama’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) won’t release that information, nor will they publicly release the identities of those still waiting for a decision. HHS won’t even say how many applications are in the queue.
Obamacare Waivers | Health Care | Transparency | The Daily Caller

    who all applied for waivers?

    who's been turned down?

why are some waived and others not?

and what kinda pull from which prominent participants might have played a part?

are citizens entitled to answers to such questions?

    NOT in obama's america

if obamacare is the answer why do so many (including pelosi, reid and anthony i-wanna-waiver weiner) want out?

    are you proud, progressives?

    party on

It's hard to be transparent when you're busy withdrawing troops from Iraq and Afghanistan, shutting down Gitmo, ending the Bush tax cuts, and improving our image around the world.

Re: PROMISES, PROMISES: Little transparency progress

another shining example of how phony this guy is.
Corrupt, phony, arrogant, a liar, cluless beyond explanation..

Integrity starts at the top, last Dem before him bedded a child in the oval office, while his wife slept on the other end of the house, and to this day is still admired by the base.

And I suppose the current ass clown will be treated the same.

he's ripe for a beat down in "12",
    BUT
the right still has to offer a good candidate, or I summize the same crowd will vote lockstep, again.
We can only hope this great country can survive through it, not looking good.
