Yes, it was quite funny. Even though I'm religious.

Jon "Stew Beef" Stewart is still my man. I think Maher hits the nail on the head on some issues, misses it on others.

Jon Stewart is hands down my favorite political commentator, he's on the money 99% of the time.

    I have a Quran.

It's not better or worse then the bible in these regards.

Islamic Extremists take things out of context in the Quran to justify things that are unjustifiable.

Did you listen to what Ellison said? He was absolutely dead on the mark.

Finding causation in religion is wrong. They don't do what they do because they're muslim.

Their goals are ultimately political and stem from global politics....
Ahhh, kind of like a Middle Eastern version of Pat Robertson.

As someone mentioned earlier its scary when you start actually agreeing with Bill Maher. Of course Maher better watch what he says, he could be seeing death threats for critisizing Islam.

You are wrong, actually its the other way around, the Koran is full of stuff that puts women down as second class humans. Culturally it isnt always practiced that way. Unfortunatly its more than you'd think.

    Link-Women worth less than men

Link- How women have to prove rape

    Link- Wife Beating

Theres more to it than that, but I think you get the picture......

Do not forget, there are passages in the bible that say it is ok to sell your daughter into slavery exodus 21:7.
Is this all you can come up with, so when was the last time this was commonly practiced?

    I have a Quran.
    Apparently you dont read it

It's not better or worse then the bible in these regards.
And this statement proves you dont read it

Islamic Extremists take things out of context in the Quran to justify things that are unjustifiable.
Islamic extremists are taking the Koran quite literally, its the more moderate muslims that dont follow everything it says.

Did you listen to what Ellison said? He was absolutely dead on the mark.
This guy is a fraud and a bad actor, did anyone actually believe he was really crying & really meant it?

Their goals are ultimately political and stem from global politics....
You are misssing that mark by a mile, look at Iran.... in Sharia the laws of Islam are part of the political structure. There is no separation of Mosque and state.

I would of thought that you would of known this?

He is known for saying stupid stuff... he is also known for saying a lot of sexist stuff. He really is a wacko on many levels.. However, he is funny sometimes and I like his standup.

Bill Maher is a horrible hypocrite when it comes to religion, because he has his own religion of his own although he'd never admit it. Atheism is his religion and by religion I mean a "view of the universe and nature of existence" he approaches his atheism the same way a TV evangelical approaches Christianity, there's no room for compromise and anyone outside of their beliefs is prosecuted for it. The only difference is the name of their belief. I mean what happens when a religious guest or leader of a religious group appears on his show? He attacks them the same way a hyper religious and arrogant person attacks a person of a different religion.
