I tend to tolerate Maher's obvious religious disdain because it isn't targeting a particular religion. Perhaps that is very wrong of me, but I would also be more likely to tolerate someone who hated all races.
For some reason equal opportunity hatred just doesn't bother me as much. It just serves to marginalize those who support it.

You made the argument that Islam cannot be compared to Christianity as far as hate speech is concerned because Christianity is separated into two books. By that logic then, isn't Judaism just as evil?
Also, what relevance is there that Islam recognizes both Moses and Jesus Christ to be religious prophets, as it is based upon both Christianity and Judaism?
