Why the hell is your logic so consistently twisted? If you have the guts and the glory take this down to the ****ing basement and let's finish this.
You're falling into a strawman. Debating sociology with the right wing of America is like explaining nuclear physics to a 4 year old. No matter how intelligent that person is, they simply won't get it. They think in terms of 'individuality'. They ignore academia and every scholarly article debating the sociological impact of slavery so that they can cry that they're being blamed for slavery. When they're the black defenders of such ignorance, well, you already see what happens. They come up with a straw man.

Might explain Christchurch, too. We're going to have to separate you two; the Earth can't take it.

You want me to add a qualifier? SOME white people? MOST white people? A LOT of white people? Fine, i'll modify "white people" to "some whites." That doesn't make what I said false.

But the real point is, I haven't blamed today's white people for slavery that happened yesterday, nor have I wished a natural disaster upon them because of it. Just how the hell is what I said even similar to blaming today's Japanese people for Pearl Harbor?

No, I'm just thinking about the pissin'-n-moanin' that would come from you lefties if a Right winger said something like, "black boys". Just pointing out the obvious, is all. You're doing a fine job of keeping racism alive. Thanks!!

Racism and ignorance that it still exists is keeping racism alive. I never even said "white boys." You have anything further to say take it down to the ****ing Basement.

Honestly, it never even crossed my mind that I was owed an apology by the Japanese for WWII.

They did some pretty terrible things, but in today's world the Japanese people recognize their past mistakes and have apologized (repeatedly) for it. I'd also say that having two atomic weapons dropped on their major population centers was punishment enough.

I also never felt we owed an apology for the bombs either (I'm not saying you're suggesting otherwise).

I personally think we DO owe them an apology, but that's for another thread. Japanese people who are suffering right now had nothing to do with the atrocities during World War II and to suggest that they deserve this earthquake/tsunami for that is completely moronic. I think most reasonable people can agree on that.
