Bachmann: Health care law contains $105 billion in hidden pre-approved spending

God, really?

Nancy said we had to "pass" it to know whats in it....do you not pay attention?

j, there were talks, and debate (over a year), and there was more than enough time to read it. And congress critiers did not need it online to go over it. That was for us.

It is you j who's over the top here my friend. ;)

To be continued, I am tired and have to work tomorrow.

I respect you (not that it matters)....you stick to your guns.

I still ask that you tell us what you stand for.

What specific socialist tendencies, they don't have governance over anybody...

What lying little deceptive cretins demo's are. Poison pills loaded in that 2,700 page pile of dung. No wonder we couldn't find out what's in the bill until we passed the bill..eh Nan?

Doesn't this just sort of prove that Republicans didn't take the time to read it even after it passed? It's not like it would've made any difference if they'd have known. It would have passed anyhow. I just searched the dollar sign throughout the whole 1990-page bill. Took me three minutes. This is disingenuous.

You guys always try to make too much hay out of stupid cmments. All anyone really had to do was read it. Why do you give your representatives a pass for not doing their job? Assuming they didn't do their job. It's quite possible they did read it but are now just trying to fool the gullible. ;) :coffeepap

You great Leader Nancy said waht she said Boo.

Can't get away from it.

Now...have you read it?

Not trying to. But first, it didn't mean what you claim it means, and second it doesn't excuse anyone for not reading it.

This is one more example of the deceptive, flip flopping and ineptness of the Obama Admin.

Talks? What do you consider "talks"? that joke of a meeting with repubs where Obama made his famous "we won" declaration? Yeah, that's talking alright....Do it my way or we'll do it without you.

Debate? Hardly, you have to have both sides present to debate anything, Repubs were locked out of anything of substance.

As for it being on line, it wasn't. They didn't know which version they were going to go with, or so they told us remember?

Obama said that transparency was going to be the cornerstone of his administration, and this bill wasn't even posted fully until hours before the partisan vote. He lied. And now you are trying to rewrite what happened and claim I am over the top....BS, you are just not being honest.

Have fun with that one Joe....Do I smell an "out of context claim"?

I read the bill, before it was passed, and was aware of the spending measures.

Is it really too much to ask that Republican congresspeople do the same? It is their job, after all. One for which they collect a rather high salary. I didn't get paid a dime.

Don't give me this "hidden in 2700 pages" bull****. Have you ever looked at a piece of legislation? One "page" of text, due to all the formatting done, is maybe a paragraph's worth in a typical paperback novel size. What do we pay these people for, if not to read carefully and make informed decisions on the legislation that comes to them? What was Michelle Bachmann doing during theyear in which this bill was being worked on?

The Republicans refused to participate in the design of the bill and steered it toward the crap that it is. This could have been passed without pork and with much better substance if the Repubs had taken their job seriously and participated in the process instead of just trying to sabotage it. The succeeded in painting the Dems into a corner, which they had to get out of, creating the crap that appealed to the 58th, 59th and 60th votes (pork). The Repubs sabotaged a legitimate effort to reform healthcare, which 60% of Americans in 2004 said was needed.

Rather than dig in and help shape a solution to a problem articulated by the people, they instead focused on the absolute undermining of the process. They were derelict in their duties as they chose politics over solutions.... but, then again, what do we expect from a party that has zero original ideas. Sorry, but they share the blame.
