Wow, the top election official in Indiana is accused of voter fraud...

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. — Indiana Secretary of State Charlie White was indicted Thursday on seven felony charges, and pressure arose almost immediately for him to step aside.

People in both parties — including Gov. Mitch Daniels, like White a Republican — said it would be wrong for Indiana’s top elections official to serve under the cloud of alleged voter fraud, theft and perjury.

If convicted, the person in charge of elections in Indiana would be the first person ever convicted of voter fraud in Indiana history...In the state that has the toughest Voter ID law (passed by Republicans) known to the US.

Mitch Daniels also attached himself to this train. I emailed him before the election and encouraged him to drop the endorsement based on the early allegations here. I wish he would've. This could be the end of a reasonable conservative that could've done good things in the Republican Party.
 
I still want to know why Harry Reid was not investigated for fraud. His Son was in charge and there reports of Voting Machines irregularities, the polls said Reid was behind before the election exit polls said he was behind during it, and yet he won by something like 8 or nine points ahead of the polls.

I find that punishment for voter fraud is all about what party in in charge and which party may have cheated.

We know that from time to time either party can have members who try to cheat.

A Hamilton County grand jury indicted White on three counts of voter fraud for allegedly lying about his address when he voted in last year’s Republican primary. He also faces charges of perjury and fraud on a financial institution – again, for lying about his address – as well as theft for continuing to collect his salary as a Fishers Town Council member after moving from his designated district.

Given that it was a primary and not a general election I dont find the voter fraud to troubling

But the theft is different story
 
So that's why Republicans are so concerned about voter fraud in this country; it's because they are committing it so much!

Yes, one case. And he's being taken down for it.

Meanwhile, Chappy ignores the systemic voter fraud of the left and freaks out at any suggestion of making Voting more secure.

Please. Voter fraud is probably responsible for half the seats Democrats hold.

That situation was investigated and resolved. No fraud was found.
 
Wait a minute.

These laws apply to Republicans too?

i am sure that was NEVER that actual intent. A gross miscarriage of justice is being carried out here.

This could also be a huge dent in Mitch Daniels' Presidential hopes. Daniels endorsed the guy and continued to do so even when the investigation began during the campaign for office.

Don't think this won't be brought up on the campaign trail either in the primaries or should he win the primary in the general election (where it would be an even bigger question).

Simply put: when you endorse someone to be in charge of running state elections, you should make sure - first - that he's not someone who voted fraudulently himself (and continued to illegally represent a town council district he no longer lived in). All Daniels had to do was withdraw his endorsement - he might've taken a slight hit for not endorsing the Republican - but it's Indiana, for God's sake...the Republican was going to win anyway.

And I believe it's this potentially bad for him without the conviction. If White is convicted, Daniels is done.
 
they should immediately move to defund indiana! if there is one bad apple in the barrel, then it must all be bad. :p
