Fox News pulls Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum off the air …

What I'd like to know is how can Fox News be considered a credible news agency when it's very likely that most, if not all, of the serious Republican candidates next year will have at one time been on their pay role? How can they possibly be fair and balanced?

Don't be dillusional. They never were fair nor balanced. FOX is a conservitive, Republican propaganda organization. They claim to be fair an balanced the same way that any propaganda organization claims to be impartial. FOX has nothing to do with news.

I personally don't think she ever intended on running, she is good for rallying the base, but has trouble with the independent vote. Her value is running around the country, keeping the base fired up, and getting them out to vote.

Then why would she start a pac

Do you agree or disagree with me that the line between the press and the government should not be blurred?

But it has always been blurred! Are you unaware that the mainstream press was for BHO? Even he acknowledged it.

All media have their bias and it is hugely difficult to avoid. In fact getting their point of view across is why many enter the media, as well as being convinced they are smarter than the average person.

You are confusing endorsement of a politician with hiring them. Many newspapers across the nation endorse a candidate over the others, but they don't hire them. Fox is hiring the most likely candidates for next years presidental election.

What is your primary news source?

Fox News PROGRAMMING, not the evening Editorials. It basically just runs in the background through the day. Drudge is my home page for tidbits, and anything that catches my fancy on the web/radio TV I search for multiple outlets to get a wider view of the story. Be it ABC, NBC, Time, Fox, AP or wherever.

So I'd say I am my own news gathering source. I use Fox and Drudge as just first look and go from there.

The very Liberal Juan Williams can speak his mind on Fox, in contrast unless he tows the Liberal/Statist line at NPR he gets fired. If Fox is so unfair then how do you explain that one?

Then we have Dobbs getting canned over at the Communist News Network for speaking his mind. Hired by Fox business netork.

Honestly Fox, even though they lean right they are far more fair then any of the Liberal networks, where if you dont parrot the talking points they fire you.

Truth be told Liberals dont want free speech in this country if it doesnt agree with there politics, you can look at example after example if you pull your head out of the sand.

Words cannot express how downright partisan and stupid all this was.

Your comment was stupid too.

Why do Liberals want the so called "fairness doctine" back ?

Why do they yell & scream at Fox reporters saying the same mindless words "Lie, Lie Lie " like little children over & over?

Really, I just want someone to explain all these facts, but all I get is reply's like yours....

And his comment wasnt? I think my response was proportionate to the comment he made. Whats puzzeling is your selective outrage & your failure to pick up the point I was trying to make

Most liberals do not want the fairness doctrine back. If we had wanted it back, it might have made it out of committee the last couple years...

Nice try, except for fact and details getting in the way of your claim.

And you are going to cry about people using biased media?

Another shining example of the loss of civility and debate skills on the forum as promoted by the staff of Debate Politics.

What purpose does this post by Redress serve for the discussion at hand other then to make a personal attack against a post answering an obviously loaded bait question posed by Redress. I've state before I have Fox in the background, and I use the web and radio for information, surfing various sites for the whole story. Yet Redress asked the question "what sources do you use" to try and make me look like a hypocrite. I did not make the claim Fox or any source I use is "unbiased" the OP was about Fox being unreliable and biased, yet the OP claims ABC News is a centrist and unbiased source, which is quite laughable. The discussion was focused on that.

It's a shame to see the good staff of DP having allowed an obviously unworthy member into their ranks, however the continued tolerance of this behavior can only lead one to conclude that such posting behavior is acceptable here at DP, and promoted by the Mod Team.
