Wisconsin governor gives Democrats ultimatum

My lady, my point is simple the advacement of which you speak should be the American people all the American people.

It is the politicians job wether president or governor to serve the American people, all the American people is it not?

If he chooses just to serve just the elite WELL?
If he just serve just the poor WELL
If he just wants to popular with a certain group and not the other. WELL?

The ELITE!?!?!? Who the hell is paying these state unions? Companies? NOOOO! I am! You are!! They are sucking up OUR money! Taxes pay for these scammers.
And BTW..... the State of Wisconsin like many other States are beyond broke and State Unions are part of the reason.

How would YOU balance the budget hmmmmmm?????

Stakes are being raised:

Missing Senators To Be Fined $100 A Day
Senate Also Authorizes Law Enforcement To Help Get Senators Back

MADISOn, Wis. -- Republicans in the Wisconsin Senate are taking new steps to bring the 14 missing Senate Democrats back to Wisconsin.

They passed a resolution Wednesday morning on a unanimous vote that would charge each senator $100 each day for every day the lawmaker was missing. They would also make the 14 missing senators reimburse the Senate for any cost incurred to bring them back.

The resolution also authorizes the help of any law enforcement officer in the state to bring them back to the Capitol.

The resolution also allows the majority leaders to cease paying expense reimbursements and parking privileges for all staff for the next two years.

The senators left Wisconsin and went to Illinois on Feb. 17 to avoid voting on a budget repair bill that would eliminate collective bargaining for public workers in Wisconsin.

Governor Walker sure has a pair, I'll give 'im that. Wow.

I suspect there are plenty of Americans more than willing to pitch in to help with these fines. I know I will.

Oh, there'll be no problem there. If nothing else, the unions'll pick 'em up.

Ha! You've just indicted 14 Democrats hiding out in Grayslake, Illinois. They are hiding out why? To support public-sector employees who make up, perhaps 5% of their constituents. At the expensive of the other 95%. What don't you get about that? How could you even type that last line with a straight face?

What do I care about Democrats?
I am an independant now.
I care not for parties anymore Democrat , Republican, Independant which ever is best for the American people?

I do dabble in odds though, Bush 1 "read my lips no new taxes" after that he raised taxes
Bush 2 and McCain who was running for president August 2008 "the American economy s strong" September 2008 American companies started asking for bailouts.
Here's an oldie but a goodie Bush 2 "there is WMDS in Iraq."

BY your post I say you are either a backer of Huckabee or Ron Paul, right?
And the deal is right or wrong they have your support,
So much for bipartisinship.
I can critisise Democrats cause in my opinion they are too much party affiliated but are the Republicans any better?
The only differance is the Democrats are too wishy washy and the Republicans are too power hungry.

How's that hope and change working out? Seems the people are running as fast as they can away from it...

I have a feeling there would be some legal issue with that. Shrug. I'm not certain, but it would surprise me if there weren't.

Is the AFL -CIO still effective? according to some, the leading union organizations haven't been doing their job. Just the opposite, the unions continue to make demands and trade off the benefits and wages ...

"He is also demanding the ending of any form of collective bargaining, even in the ineffectual and cowardly form in which it is practiced by the existing trade unions. For Walker—and the sections of the capitalist class for which he speaks—the central target is not simply the trade unions. His real aim is to wipe out any form or possibility of organized resistance by the working class to the dictates of the financial-corporate oligarchy and the capitalist state."

"The response to this attack by the trade union organizations in Wisconsin and nationally—AFSCME, the NEA and the AFL-CIO—is cowardly, duplicitous and politically bankrupt. From the outset, they act as if there is no connection between Walker’s assault on the organizational interests of the union—such as his demand for the elimination of collective bargaining and the end of the automatic dues check off—and the attack on the wages"
The political issues in the fight against budget cuts

Is it not amazing that so many are so dumb that they think you can spned your way out of debt and ignore reality.

Liberals have a way of pretending their fantasy world is real as they ax and spend us into the toilet then blame conservatives for their ignorance.\

Unions have got to go.

Really its none of your business. When you sign on to a job you're allowed to negotiate what you're worth. Stop following the lead of RightWing talk radio and think for yourselves, for once.

I just LOVE how democrats are making it look like the evil corporations are out to destroy the middle class. HA!!! Its the freakin UNIONS that are part of the problem erroding the middle class by sucking up the TAX PAYERS money! The unions are hurting everyone!
Hey I dont even know upper middle management that has such sweet deals as 100% paid health care.... HUGE pensions.... and a salary that is 2x what they should be getting!!!! PLUS...... PLUUUUUS teachers get 3 months off and its in the summer!!! And its not like good teachers are hard to find either. Heck I would say 2 out of 10 parents would make excellent teachers.

Why do you ALWAYS say things with your tounge sticking out? It doesnt make a point. It doesnt sway. It DOESNT make you look good. It doesnt sound cool or intelligent either. Look we are on the same side on this topic but I rather you NOT make comments like that. It actually creates loathing for folks on our side and its not appreciated.

Why don't the right wing ever talk about big business shenanigans, then?

union should prevail in its filed Unfair Labor Practice charge, establishing that the party to the contract, the state of wisconsin, has not lived up to its obligation to negotiate in good faith

There is no obligation to negotiate under duress of Mob Coercion. You lose.

PFFF. Purely useless comment ...^

are you wanting us to believe that an assembly of citizens opposed to collective bargaining gives basis for the state to unilaterally abbrogate the very contract it has entered into?

I agree.

What contract is being unilaterally abrogated? Which one? Link please. Contracts have expiration dates. Don't be silly.

Uh check your history
In 1999 we America had a surplus not much but a surplus.
In 2000 the Republicans took control in 2008 after the Republicans left America was 3 trillion dollars in debt.
Just in case you don't know the differance between fantasy and reality.

Surplus have money
Debt owe money.

Let me put this another way:

In 1999, we had a small surplus because Republicans took over Congress five years earlier and reigned in spending.

In 2008, we had a huge deficit after Dems took over Congress only two years earlier and spent money like drunken sailors.

Seems to me there is a correlation...

Sorry to tell you this, but federal law does NOT apply to employees of state and local governments.
United States labor law is a heterogeneous collection of state and federal laws. Federal law not only sets the standards that govern workers' rights to organize in the private sector, but overrides most state and local laws that attempt to regulate this area. Federal law also provides more limited rights for employees of the federal government. These federal laws do not, on the other hand, apply to employees of state and local governments, agricultural workers or domestic employees; any statutory protections those workers have derived from state law.

Just got back from Wisconsin on business. I don't know where these polls are coming from because Scott Walker is HUGELY popular up there right now.

Only 12 percent of Americans belong to unions. And that number would be a lot smaller if many unions didn't REQUIRE union membership.

Unions are about to crash and burn, and the media is freaking out about it.

Expect more severely flawed "polls" showing how Americans support union bargaining. The truth is.....they don't.

Well, we must work in different circles, because people I talked to are giddy as hell.

Either way, they've got four years to go with him. Good luck, lol.
