WHy raise taxes on ANYONE when both parties spend money like crack fiends? My position has been pretty clear...pass legislatively mandated spending cuts, gut the fed, and I will full on support legislatively sundowned tax increases specifically to pay off the debt.

People like you have contributed to the looming nightmare and your only answer is "give us MORE!!! Tax THEM!!! Hey mom...do we have any more cheetos? Hey...its dark here in the basement...you and dad ever going to put some lights i? Hell its been this way for 42 years! Oh...and I'm finished mom...come wipe my butt!"
Dude be quiet, till you walk in someone else's shoes. Lots of people in that position have disabling medical problems through no fault of their own. I'd like to see when you grow older and start having medical problems too. Then you'll say "Where's my Medicare, where's my Social Security? I want my prescription drug plan that I didn't pay for! Waah, waah, waah!" Social services isn't the reason why the budget isn't balanced, it's because the entitlements for most people are not balanced, defense spending, and debt service. You also seem to neglect mentioning the large prison population that costs way more to take care of than anyone else.

This is me laughing my ass off at you. I deal with this **** daily. I deal with perfectly capable people that have been given excuses their whole life. And you know what the truly PATHETIC thing is? You actually believe that you and people like you are HELPING them by enabling them to remain crippled. Most of these people are in their late teens and twenties...and guess what...they will be in the same boat for the next 30-40 years. They will be given label after label and eventually the social services system will just give up on them, throw drugs at them, and tuck them away in group homes or residential units. They will overdose (sometimes accidentally, some times on purpose, sometimes because they just want to spend a week or two in a secure psych ward) anywhere from 4-20 times a year. You spew mindless rhetoric...Ive been actually working with people to help them out of your cesspool for years.

As for the prison system...again...you spout **** you know nothing about...Ive worked there...at several levels...for years. You MAY find that Im one of the first voices here that believes in massive effective prison reform. So...before you suggest someone 'be(s) quiet' you may want to know a little about that person. Or not...you seem pretty comfortable in your ignorance.

And you dont have to worry about what happens to me when I grow older--that I guarantee. Ive handled my business. Ive taken care fo my family...immediate, short term, and long term.

Actually, I'm one of the "crippled dependent pets" you so speak of, probably explains why I wasn't happy about the previous posts. And also I do have medical problems, yet I post on political boards and follow politics. I think if someone is healthy and doesn't have any medical problems, they should be able to work, at least part time, and do as much as they can do. If I was healthy, I would probably be happily working and chugging along. I don't know what your qualifications are on this matter, I don't know you other than you know me, other than what we write in our posts. But yeah, that probably explains my position.

If you are legitimately disabled you AREN'T one of those crippled and dependent pets. I have made that pretty clear. There are people that legitimately NEED help. Those crippled and dependent pets are sucking away the resources to the point they aren't available for the truly needy. And yeah...that pisses me off in a lot of ways. I'm pissed for those that need the help and cant get it. I'm pissed when I see people in their 20s that have been told for so long that "oh...you poor dear...its not your fault and this is your life" when in fact it doesn't have to BE that way. Ive also seen MANY people be able to change their lives. I'm saddened by the waste of life. It BOTHERS me to know those people will live the rest of their lives in that misery. I get pissed off precisely BECAUSE Ive seen what CAN be...and the tragedy of what is.

I am a little as you describe, but I think, as I've learned, if someone is healthy, they should have no worries. As soon as I get my medical problems manageable I plan on working. But your position is very eye-opening, enlightening, and I would say correct.

I hope for the best for you. I really do. I'm one of those weird conservatives that believe in effective social spending at the state level. Key being effective.
