Yes I do. I support decreasing spending vastly and cutting taxes in order to meet a balanced budget that results in a much smaller, efficient government.

“Some of what I've heard coming out of Wisconsin, where you're just making it harder for public employees to collectively bargain generally seems like more of an assault on unions. And I think it's very important for us to understand that public employees, they're our neighbors, they're our friends. These are folks who are teachers and they're firefighters and they're social workers and they're police officers.

“They make a lot of sacrifices and make a big contribution. And I think it's important not to vilify them or to suggest that somehow all these budget problems are due to public employees.”

    — President Barack Obama¹

Wow, a Republican Governor not allowing a financial crisis of his own making to go to waste. Imagine that!

What does this have to do with this topic or argument? What do you mean by my opinion of the "wealthy" and "godless corporations"?

Why must I explain and address tax cuts? If you must know, I support cutting spending and taxes to keep a small government that provides necessities. States and the federal government are spending far more than what they take in through taxes. Please explain how they government should increase their revenues to balance the budget and allow for such increased spending.
only union workers get living wages....are you suggesting working people get "market wages"? great for the gop (and the wealthy)

Incorrect. The pharmacists I work with are not unionized and they make living wages. The technicians I work with are not unionized and they do as well. The problem is greedy individuals try to define and set "living wages" as too high, and unfairly reap benefits that are not merited for their jobs and productivity. It's especially greedy for them to have outlandish benefits at the taxpayers' expense.

I feel any elected official that flees his/her jurisdiction to avoid having to do their jobs should be fired.
The voters of these democrat politicians voted for them to oppose most of the things republicans support just like the voters of republicans voted for republicans to oppose things democrats support. If these politicians have to flee town to accomplish this then so be it. Hopefully republicans return the favor. These democrats are doing their jobs by fleeing, unless they ran on a anti-union platform.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

This struggle isn't about what is good for Wisconsin. This is in your face politics by Governor Walker, pure and simple.

Excerpted from “Walker tells Democratic Senators to come back to work” Published February 17, 2011 - BizTimes Daily
Walker’s bill would revoke the collective bargaining rights of thousands of teachers, nurses and other public employees.

Police officers, firefighters and State Patrol officers would be exempt from the bill. Their unions contributed to Walker’s election campaign.

Or maybe it's about cowardly politics by the state senate Democrats? Or maybe a little of both...
