Whats the point of me bringing up a math trick? It doesn't have jack **** to do with the topic of the thread just like your little rant.
Yeah but, dude, sweet trick. How the hell does that work?

    *Edit:

Nevermind. That trick, while cool, is pretty easy to figure out!

Are we talking about the 'C' titles and the amount of work they do? No we arent. And I agree with what youre saying about those types of jobs. They rarely really "work". Now on the other hand either do many teachers. Especially in the Chicago area. Their jobs are pretty darn easy PLUS they have months off of work. And youre darn right I resent how much they make! To the point of myself moving out of Illinois and into Indiana later this year. Im done paying unions pensions.

I feel any elected official that flees his/her jurisdiction to avoid having to do their jobs should be fired.
Spare us your contrived outrage. This is simple politics. It is a tool that is at the disposal of many state legislators. Think of it as a fillibuster or a senate hold.

Bear in mind the governor usurped or over-reached on his authority by trying to ram-rod significant legislation through on little notice (under the public radar). This is but a tactic designed to bring attention to an issue. If the issue has sufficient traction with the public, it can be defeated. If it does not, then the AWOL legislators will meekly return and watch the legislation pass. Its rather harmless and a bit entertaining in the grand scheme of things.

I don't see how that is different than opposing the other party. Republicans want to the anti-unions rules and the democrats do not want to see the anti-union rules enacted. This is basically like a filibusterer or some other means a minority party may use to keep the opposition from winning.
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear"

It's a delaying tactic. Nothing more.

How do you feel about the Citizens United ruling by SCOTUS?
