The road to hell is paved with good intentions. You can't have what you can't pay for.

    Hey Folks,

Didn't Obama promise to cut the deficit in half during his first term? What happened to that promise? Huh?

The same thing that happened with all the other Obama promises, rhetoric trumps substance and actual results.

    Agreed. Good list.

AUSTAN GOOLSBEE: I think the world vests too much power, certainly in the president, probably in Washington in general for its influence on the economy, because most all of the economy has nothing to do with the government.

No one is suggesting anythign of the kind. This is what's wrong with these discussions. Someone on your side of the issue starts making claims, arguing someothing no is arguing. In fact, you in particular, seem to often argue against personal responsibility, suggesting that people not get ehalth insurance and that we pay for their lack of responsibility when they guess wrong and get injured, or ill. Because unless you're willing to turn injuried people away from ERs, you're going to have the rest of us paying thenm one way or another.

Of course it is because when you talk about greed not once have I heard you or anyone else talk about Govt. greed. You have no problem at all about buying the rhetoric about spending in the name of compassion but not once have questioned the lack of results from that spending thus rhetoric always trumps substance.

    Re: Obama's FY 2012 Budget

What a grand disappointment ... of course I haven't gone through the entire budget nor will I bother. That Obama ignores his own debt commission and puts his re-election over the good of this country says all I need to validate why I don't believe in nor support this President. He's all show and no go. If anyone ever uses that Hope and Change nonsense, they should be dragged behind the nearest car until they come to their senses.

Leader? No, we don't have that and he's not going to sprout an leadership skills any time soon. The first 2 years was as good as it gets... it's downhill from now on.
I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on whats being proposed here, hed agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute. - Chuck Schumer (D). Yet, Madison and Mason wrote the Bill of Rights, according to Sheila Jackson Lee, 400 years ago. Yup, it's a fact.
