    Spinning yarns?

It seems clear you're vocabulary is rather limited and you're guessing at what words and phrases actually mean. You've guessed wrong in thiis latest case.

I'm not trying to defend anything. Someone posted a funny picture and you got all butt-hurt about it and decided to go on a partisan rampage because you don't have a sense of humor.
All talk about womens rights until it comes to Muslim women or women who have a different point of view. Then you get dirty.
Huh? What does it have to do with women's rights? It was a captioned photo of Sarah Palin in a funny pose. You can try and pretend that it was intended to disparage women, but I don't think you'll get too far with that nonsense. I'm willing to bet there are women here who found the picture funny. Or are they leftist women and don't count?

Yes, i know you think it's a funny picture. That's why I'm laughing at you and the leftist hypocrites. You don't even stop to consider or realize it's demeaning to women, or that the earlier photo was demeaning to Blacks.

The Left spends so much time searching for clues that it is the Right who are anti woman and racist while, as any reasonable person understands, it is the left who engages in these anti Black, anti women campaigns.

of course you are free to post racist and sexist photos, but you should also be prepared to defend your choices. But the lot of you lack the wit to do so.

You don't knoow that this photo isn't demeaning to women, and a similar photo can't be taken, or photo shopped, of any woman? have yu ever stopped to consider the kind of juvenile mind that goes in for this sort of thing? And then posts them for the like-minded frat boys who also guffaw at the sight of a woman with crude remarks attached to her?

You post whatever you want, mate, as its a free country, but others are free to laugh at this ignorance as well, and that's jjust what I'm doing.

What if it was a random bloke instead of Palin, would that be demeaning to men?

How was it demeaning to women? Is Sarah Palin all women? As for the other photo, did you consider even for a moment that it could have been mocking the idiotic stereotypes that people have about black people? Or is your sense of humor so one dimensional that you can't see a little bit outside of the tiny box you've constructed for yourself?

No, it's not "The Left". There are certain people on the Left who are extreme enough to do those things, just as there are people on the Right who do the same. Their behavior doesn't bespeak of the majority.

of course you are free to post racist and sexist photos, but you should also be prepared to defend your choices. But the lot of you lack the wit to do so.
More self-congratulatory nonsense. Yes, you are so much better than the rest of us.

Actually, yes, I do know that it isn't demeaning to women. It's a joke photo making fun of Sarah Palin's pose. You are adding far more implications to the photo than was meant to be added. It was a simple joke. Get over yourself.

You post whatever you want, mate, as its a free country, but others are free to laugh at this ignorance as well, and that's jjust what I'm doing.
    Thank you for your permission.

And again, at least you are cracking yourself up.

    Post one and we'll see.

You feel that photo was fair to Sarah Palin and to women in general. Fair to her family?

Would you want your wife or mother portrayed in a similar way?

If you don't think this is coarse and and that it doesn't demean political conversation then you go for it.

I feel that it lowers the standards of human behaviour and contributes to the general nastiness that surrounds political debate.

    Therein lies the difference..

    Well, here's the ultimate question:

Let's say we edited the photo to say "Here's a picture of Grant, dressed up as Sarah Palin".

Would that be more demeaning to Grant or to women in general?

Humor - juvenile, raunchy, or sophisticated - has been part of political discussion in this nation forever. I don't think it demeans nearly as much as people who sincerely claim that so-and-so is a fascist (when one clearly isn't) - or that this guy's a commie bent on destroying American (when clearly this guy isn't).

One naughty photo isn't the same as someone spreading illegitimate conspiracy theories about Islamo-Commie conspiracies to create world Caliphates and trying to sell such cornball lunacy as seriousness.

My point: no one thinks that photo of Palin is really about penises. It's merely a smack on her.

People actually listen to Beck's maniacal rantings about Islamo-Commies and BELIEVE it.

That's much more demeaning to political discussion than some invisible penises.

A similar photo could be used of any women with crude sexual comments attached. Should women have to face this sort of response whenever they run for political office? I don't think so. It is the work of a pimply youth who can't leep his hands out of his pants, and appreciated by the same crowd. Show that photo of Barak Obama to any Black man and let us know the consequences, okay?

Certainly it's the Left! But you don't know that photo is offensive to women and the second offensive to Blacks so I don't expect you to know it is the Left who perpetuates this sort of ignorance. I have no use for Barak Obama as a President but I would never ever post a photo of what was here earlier on this thread. That takes a special kind of ignorance.

More self-congratulatory nonsense. Yes, you are so much better than the rest of us.
Wrong again. I am only better than those who defend these photos.

Actually, yes, I do know that it isn't demeaning to women. It's a joke photo making fun of Sarah Palin's pose. You are adding far more implications to the photo than was meant to be added. It was a simple joke. Get over yourself.
You do know that? How do you know that? Do you feel that all public figures couldn't have similar poses? Does it really take that much skill or imagination to put women in compromising photos?

It's a joke to certain people and I acknowledge that and described the sort who would think it funny. They also laugh out loud at farts and people falling down stairs. They are not uncommon..

    Thank you for your permission.
People have always had permission to be fools, providing they do no harm to others. Go for it.

And again, at least you are cracking yourself up.
Yep. I enjoy laughing at Leftists!
